Dear Readers: Here it is our Special Issue on #Women as Economic Actors. It shows how studies using different methodological approaches can be complementary to understanding the myriad of roles that women play as economic actors in China, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Argentina and Perú.

5. Takeaway: Migration is an emerging topic reminding us about this global reality, which is sometimes invisible in the discussion of women economic actors. The relevance of migration processes, both domestically and internationally, is exemplified by three of the articles.

4. Takeaway: Female entrepreneurship is here to stay. Despite the growth and success of many women, challenges remain, and understanding that entrepreneurship is dynamic, non-linear, and gendered could open spaces to new questions and comparative analysis.
