In a music ensemble, everyone is heard. They’re heard individually, and collectively. Everyone has a voice, every voice is important, and every voice is valued. Not only this, the more voices the better. Music ensembles give flight to our voices in the most wonderful way.
@stuchapmanhill They will be thrilled! There’s a bit of a competition for who’s story is the closest. 😉 Thanks for your time AND the fabulous piece. They made it cover to cover for the first time this week and immediately asked if they could sing it again!
@stuchapmanhill My 8th graders are in love with “Don’t Be Seen.” They have a lot of ideas about the missing details in the story (Who is she? Why is she running? Where are they? Etc) and they were wondering if you would tell them your version of the story?
Performances at 3 elementary buildings + a GIANT spread from @raisingcanes in Gahanna = tired and HAPPY 8th graders. I think tour was a success! @GahannaMSWest
🎵 We're singing the praises of our music educators! 🎶
Thank you for the music AND for teaching students how to play instruments (including voices) in school bands, choirs, orchestras, & other performance groups. #TeachMusicWeek
@OMEAOhio I am registered for the conference but did not receive a password for the virtual sessions. Who do I need to reach out to for access? Thank you!
Started tracking tempo markings on the board for each choir’s daily sight reading and now I have middle schoolers BEGGING to do “one more exercise” AND challenging each other to practice. I’ll call that a win! #musiced#choir
