1. A while back I did a thread on my wheelchair and it's features. Well say hello to the new chair and my breakdown of it features.....RGK Octane FX with Spinergy LX wheels, Carbolife Gekko S pushrims and Front wheel! @RGKWheelchairs@Bettermobility
@hdksodnrjs@hspenceruk@RachaelD_OT@theRCOT@The_HCPC@LGBTQIAOTUK What's the benefit of you calling Hannah a sinner? Language such as sinner & hate aren't necessary in respectful conversations at all. If you don't 'want' to use Hannah's pronouns, then address by name but citing religion as a reason to imply someone as a sinner just isn't ok.
@benn_elisbenn@flickhwilliams@DesignabilityUK I don't attach, so have free reign to tip the pushchairs front wheels up slightly and mine also as needed. Its tricky on cambered paths and steep drop kerbs but is mostly manageable where I live
@flickhwilliams@benn_elisbenn@DesignabilityUK I push my little girls pram as a manual wheelchair user. Use the pram to counteract the sideways force of single hand propelling when going in a straight line, the same as if you were pushing a shopping trolly. To turn you use the pram to pivot with/around.
Thereβs no right or wrong way to feel about using a wheelchair & how you feel about it might change from day to day. There's also lot's to learn & get used to, here are the things I'd like new wheelchair users to know: https://t.co/AyaMAo6Eje
3/3 I explained that I'm showing allyship to colleagues. He abruptly told me "that's stupid, the whole thing is stupid".
This THIS IS WHY WE HAVE A COMMUNITY!

1/3 This week (a heterosexual) someone told me they get frustrated at the term #LGBTQ community because there isn't a straight one, and all it's doing is segregating the two. Also, this week, at work, an older male from an external agency told me at the end of a long t/c that he
2/3 thought my she/her pronouns in my email signature was unprofessional and not necessarily because he would have called me a 'girl' (GIRL!) anyway so why would I bother?
