The ryman rye stood back up! It had lodged pretty badly during the recent storms, but is going to be harvestable. The rye on the left is a different, shorter variety, and at the back of the field, we’ve planted wheat. So Boone’s Settlement Rye Whiskey mash bill 30 days away from harvest at Mt. Folly. Only available in Kentucky, as it ought to be! #DanielBoone#WinchesterKy#Explore
At the Mercantile, we embrace the beauty of regenerative farming with a lush mix of winter peas and spring oats. Rather than relying on industrial natural -gas produced fertilizers, these plants are hard at work capturing nitrogen from the air and banking it underground for our crops to use this summer. The oats add organic matter to the soil. #RegenerativeAgriculture#OrganicFarming#NatureHeals
