NEW: The grandma of 15-year-old Kaylee Gain who was beat against the pavement in Missouri says a statement is imminent and that she is “devastated.”

Grandma Terry Nordstrom Thompson says a statement from the family is coming soon.

“The family will give a statement very soon. That's all I can say right now,” she said to the Daily Mail.

“It unforgiveable what she endured and went through. Our granddaughter is in very critical condition and fighting for her life,” Thompson also said on Facebook.
