Lecturing about my favourite stuff in physics is so fun. I always insist getting a lecture room with enough blackboard space.

See you later Leicester! Such a nice city and university!

Getting to know a new city always requires running. https://t.co/WRPOu4BtVe

Pekka Kangaslahti from NASA JPL delivered one of the EZIEmag magnetometers at Kastelli upper secondary school in #Oulu. Looking forward to monitor space weather with high-school students. @UniOulu https://t.co/CU8bpKJf7J

I hope this prototype can match the requirements of the constantly developing security environment (at home).

Time to start school!

New PhD researcher position for 4 years at the University of Oulu, Finland @UniOulu. Work: study physics related to aurora borealis. Benefits: watch auroral dispays while XC skiing. https://t.co/VZpGzge1la

[Lauri Holappa @LauriHolappa]

@L_A_Barnard At least there will be funds to do (fill an adjective here) research!

[Lauri Holappa @LauriHolappa]

Back from Bergen, Norway, where I was an opponent in Josephine Salice's PhD defence. Also positive news from the Research Council of Finland during the same weekend!

Mother forking shirtballs, it's really kicking off at STEREO-A (which is a few hours ahead of Earth, in solar wind terms.)

Total field ~80nT, with a lot of that southward, maybe -75 nT?!. This is going to be big when it reaches Earth.

This is the best use I can imagine for this golf course. #Oulu

Ouluhallissa on näköjään kuri koventunut.
