@GailSimone My Name is Luca by Suzanne Vega. It was so shocking at that time to have a song about child abuse. I was 11 and it really changed my view of the world.
@FifthDream@catvalente You're wrong, not supporting the artists who create your entertainment isn't an unpopular opinion - it's widespread, but people don't even see it.
You want more choices? That's a publisher issue, not a narrator issue.
Have fun listening to your emotionless recordings.
@PublishersWkly "The talent?" In quotations? Really? $1000/pfh? Really? Did anyone speak to any actual narrators before writing this or are we already that irrelevant to the industry? This article is so offensive and misrepresents nearly every aspect of the audiobook industry. Shame on you.
The article from @PublishersWkly about AI #audiobooks is grossly biased. No attempt to be balanced or show POV of those actually working in the industry. Not the journalistic standards PW is known for. Do a follow up article w/ us. Give this topic the nuance your readers deserve.
Let me tell you, you score a LOT of #CoolMom points with your 18 yo stoner kid when you get a part in a book by the world's favorite stoner, @Sethrogen#Yearbook#Audiobook
Look! I'm listed right there as one of the voices in the #audiobook! Ok, not my "name," but see where it says "80 voices?" I'm one of them!

@Microsoft365#Seaford. My biggest issue with Calibri has always been how it looks in italics. I think that most sans fonts look awkward in italics and Calibri also angles too far. Seaford has a clear contrast in reg, bold, and italic. It also draws the eye more in italics than thr others.
@noahmichelson @Noseworthy2020 @HuffPost We have a pitbull who is extremely fear aggressive and even though she's only 6 I've thought about how terrible her last moments would be if we have to take her to the vet to be euthanized. I hope to find a place that will let us do this for her one day. π
Wouldn't it be nice if pro-lifers focused on ending gun violence? Or suicide prevention? Or abolishing the death penalty? Or stopping police killings? Or fighting poverty? Or combating the opioid epidemic? Or ending wars?
You know, things that would actually save lives?
