Our founder, @ShahzadyLaw, spoke to Emma Thomas on the Middling Along Podcast about our campaign, and why women risk being financially disadvantaged if menopause is a factor in a separation but not considered by lawyers: https://t.co/gtCNYwstjW

@MenoScandal Just done the survey. My sister had a dexa this year and she’s got clear signs of osteoporosis! My mum has recently had some spinal fractures in her 70’s - very real issue for women!
Sadly this ill conceived #Panorama show resembles some type of modern day Salem Witch trial! Prosecuted @drlouisenewson without evidence or cause - sad day for women and menopause care. Louise is loved for her care, compassion and clinical expertise around the world.
@karennewby_ @drlouisenewson@AnniceMukherjee@ProfJoyceHarper Show me any Dr and I will show you a complaint- even the self righteous ones get complaints ! Flimsy tv and not at all persuasive - just scaremongering and bad for women since it is undermining menopause care!
Incredible work @muirkate and so pleased to collaborate with @drlouisenewson in highlighting the link between divorce and the peri/menopause rollercoaster for some women!

So proud to have made this 9-hour deep-dive Menopause Masterclass series with the great Dr Louise Newson. It’s out now, 23 episodes, covering hormonal and non-hormonal help, from nutrition to skin care to brain changes to menopause at work and HRT 🔥 https://t.co/v5mT39xcdD
I have generated a word cloud of menopause symptoms based on a large survey of nearly 6,000 women we did recently - the larger words are the more common symptoms.
Notice how many of the most common symptoms are related to the brain!
“A confluence of disadvantages”. Let’s grapple with the intersectionality of #Menopause and actually support women in replacing their missing hormones and obtaining all the medical and workplace support they need #IWD
Excellent #menopause coverage in today’s Legal Gazette as we celebrate #IWD. We need to reflect that menopause is by definition intersectional and the challenges it throws up can be enormous. No woman wants to be placed in the “disability” box. Thank you @PropJourn.

Pleasure recording some hard hitting and informative family law material on #economic abuse, nuptial agreements, the challenge of #cohabitation and #menopause on the client financial journey. Working with @Quilter and Rosa Schofield of @iFLGUK is always inspiring.
Brilliant article for The Times by @muirkate. Lawyers know best how limited the court system is and characterising menopause as disability doesn’t inspire confidence in the legal framework. Medical treatment is going to be better than court. Employers need to play their part too
@PropJourn Good luck in your search @PropJourn - be like finding a unicorn! The concept of intersectionality is not well understood let alone celebrated. I’ve been looking for it too!
Divorce rates down to 80,057 for 2022 from 113,505 in 2021. Unhappy sign of our times as unhappy couples take shelter together from financial strife. Also sadly ripe conditions for economic abuse - money can often be the glue for abuse behind closed doors @ResFamilyLaw
@mariellaf1@TimesRadio Such a difficult issue @mariellaf1 and exposes the limitations of the legal system which remains v male at heart. Impoverished legislative language. Menopause isn’t “disability” - it is a hormonal kaleidoscope- the picture that emerges is different for everyone!
Interesting headlines today! Respect the menopause or be sued for disability discrimination, firms told. But what about family lawyers - are we going to finally heed this warning and factor menopause disability into our work ?! @LawMenopause https://t.co/UDdrMNTENN
