🚨🇦🇷🇪🇬 John Terry Criticizes Match Official: “Consistency Was Missing”
🗣️ “When you’re refereeing a match of this magnitude, you have one responsibility above all else: control the game fairly and consistently.
Looking back at this match, I don’t think the referee handled some of the key moments well enough.
Egypt were constantly asking questions of Argentina and there were several incidents that deserved closer attention. Instead, it felt like the referee was too quick to wave play on in situations that could have had a huge impact on the outcome.
Referees don’t need to be perfect. Nobody expects perfection. But players and fans expect consistency.
If you’re calling a foul in one area of the pitch, then similar incidents elsewhere should receive the same treatment.
The disallowed Egyptian goal was a massive turning point. Then there were the complaints surrounding the build-up to Argentina’s winner. Those are match-defining moments.
The referee had an opportunity to calm tensions by taking his time, communicating clearly and making sure every major incident was properly assessed.
Instead, the match ended with Egypt feeling aggrieved and Argentina advancing while controversy dominates the conversation.
That is never a good outcome for the officials.
I actually feel sorry for the Egyptian players because they produced a performance full of character and determination. They deserved for the football to be the main story.
Unfortunately, many people will remember the officiating decisions more than the football itself.
That’s why I believe the referee could and should have managed the game much better.”

🚨🗣 Egypt's Coach Hossam Hassan couldn't control himself after full-time:
"I will say what's on my mind regardless of the consequence, this was clearly a rigged match and the whole world saw it"
"And I want to say one more thing, if they want them [Argentina] to win so bad, why call everyone to come and participate?"
@ogendenoni@Rise_Forge All of our territorial borders were inherited from our former colonial masters. Even the name Nigeria which you so adore comes from Flora Shaw, so i don’t even understand your point. Aren’t your people claiming Bakassi in their own self interest?
@ogendenoni@Rise_Forge Bakassi has belonged to German Kamerun since March 11, 1913. Don't be lazy, please do some reading and stop making baseless statements. Objecting to this is like Cameroon crying over British Northern Cameroons joining Nigeria
@favbimi Happy birthday puff-puff jaws. On this special day i urge you to dare to dream for that felicitous life you have always craved.
Don’t let the vicissitudes of life change your warmth. Welcome to another chapter of this journey called life.

@Johnybreez@iam_Maimo What do you expect a poor man with a history of opulence and mismanagement to do upon discovering LNG in his land to do? Do you expect him to construct the facilities needed to extract, refine & distribute or you expect him to sell the lease the land and manage a minority stake?
🚨This is complete nonsense from people who don’t know the history of Iran’s oil trade.
"The MOU throws the regime a lifeline by lifting US sanctions on Iran selling its oil, but it also allows the US intelligence community to monitor those dollar-based transactions"
