Let's go Caps!

@maustermuhle Saying “possible safer driving” is quite the attempt to ignore irrefutable evidence to the contrary and both-sides the issue…

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@zoomwsu @HMartok @TPCarney We need children to work the jobs of the future when we are old and gray. People parenting those children are doing all the hard work to raise them for us, so perhaps we should be making it as cheap and easy as possible for them as a society?

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@SegravesNBC4 @MayorBowser @nbcwashington @SegravesNBC4 do you know if she is going to waive snow emergency route tickets from Saturday before the snow like she did in 2016? I was one of ~30 cars on Pennsylvania Ave SE that didn’t realize it had started and got ticketed at 3:30 pm.

@commie22 Caps v Flyers
Rangers v Isle
Sens v Habs
Kings v Ducks
Kraken v Canucks

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@2024dion I think the reason based purely on my sample of friends being parents with young children is that they wish they were going out and are ordering often based on the idea of the missed experience perhaps more than the food. They want to buy from a place they’ve seen or heard of.

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@bmcnally14 Can YoutubeTV subscribers who were at the opener get the card for a subscription if they missed them that night?

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@wmataGM Got a new job on top of the Rosslyn Metro and tried using the train from Eastern Market, but 3 fires/delays in 7 days means y’all struck out in the first two weeks…

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@agoggans @AbhiDhabi5 @NW_Realist @charlesallen @CMCharlesAllen I’m actually curious and not trying to be a smart Alec, could you help me understand this issue?

If the court is going to see the footage anyway and that footage is the “truth”, then why does it matter if the police officer watches the video?

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@SkolCaps1993 @RealTimeNews10 @jtenenbaum I heard it south of H and counted a similar number - no pause to reload, just kept going

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@CodifyBaseball Injury bug in college, got a Harvard MBA and started a $100M hedge fund in his 30’s.

@ianoland Your coverage inspired a trip by our Caps season ticket group up to Hershey for the night - glad you’ve enjoyed and looking forward to a great game! Go Bears 🐻

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@KingHaku19 @miehmer @pahshik @JeffVeillette @EditorinLeaf You’re right you need to “solve” for goalie, but that’s usually just a good goalie with a hot hand

Holtby had a tough 2017-18 and got benched for the playoffs, then went on a run

+

Kuznetsov had the best run of his career

+

4th line DSP and Beagle outperformed any other time

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@miehmer @KingHaku19 @pahshik @JeffVeillette @EditorinLeaf To think you need to tear it down or change everything, when you probably needed a few better nuanced tactical changes to unlock the stars reminds me of the Caps of 2011 and 2014 when they tried to change tactics and how everyone played, but got worse.

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@miehmer @KingHaku19 @pahshik @JeffVeillette @EditorinLeaf Very cool and agree completely when you say create your own luck and no excuses.

Just have seen so many series decided on OT games where earlier shots hit the post, goalies making accidental saves with the stick handle or silly board bounces with series changing saves.

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@KingHaku19 @pahshik @miehmer @JeffVeillette Have you heard of the Washington Capitals who seemed to invent new ways to lose every year before & after 2018…it’s all puck luck, penalty calls (more so non-calls) and coaching adjustments - most are coin flips

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@sammisilber Debatable acquisition. He struggled last year and overall racks up points while playing poor defense/not creating substantial offense overall.

He’s going to command too much because his points/goals/assists look nice, but his underlying play doesn’t match the price.

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@JeffVeillette @TheRealVGalati 😂 classic hometown bias and out dated view that you have to be “tough” but I’ll take scoring over hits any day.

You should have seen the RMNB comment section last year with Eller trade proposals…

[Lawrence VSL @Lawrence_VSL]

@AlexanSimon85 I legit bought champagne 🥂 to pop like we won the Super Bowl
