Remembering the life and legacy of Lt. Brendan Looney. He was a teammate, a brother, a father and an American hero. Brendan embodied everything we strive to be on and off the field. He was a leader at the Naval Academy, a captain on the lacrosse team, and ultimately gave his life in service to our country as a Navy SEAL.
The military academies continue to be among the top lacrosse programs in the country — where Brendan, his two brothers and Navy competed in the NCAA National Championship game on Memorial Day in 2004.
We are forever grateful to all of our servicemen and women, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Your courage gives us the freedom to play, compete, and live with purpose.
As BL would say, “Be strong. Be accountable. Never complain.”

@DoctorGoodleg @STXwlax@Inside_Lacrosse The rules have continued to change every year for at least a decade: shot clock, self-starts, free movement, etc.
Changes like these are evolving the game as skills and athleticism keep reaching new heights.
The NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse tournament gets underway this coming weekend with five first-round games on Saturday, May 8. The second round features 16 games both on Saturday and Sunday, May 8-9.

@LaxSportsNet @Tewaaraton@lyle4thompson Had the chance to watch these guys light up our boys team in HS... have so much pride for my HS, but honestly, it was so fun to watch the magic from the Thompson bros👏🏽 Well deserved
Dropping sports is NOT the solution college athletic departments should be looking at 🚫They r cutting sports that bring in more tuition dollars 4 the University
EX: tuition, r&b= $65k, 56 mlax players, that’s $3.64mil, scholarship $ spent $819k, staff~$350k, budget guess~$600k
