Last year our staff reported 2,159 cases of verbal and physical abuse.
Yesterday was such a sad shift. A day Iβll remember for a very long time. Something Iβll be thinking about over the next coming days for sure. Some jobs will always stick with youβ¦ What a rollercoaster of a dayπ₯Ή
My consultant said my catheter could come out today, I informed him itβs already out and I did it my self. Just shook his head and looked incredibly disappointedπ
Why on earth i thought it was a good idea to pick up a night shift, after been incredibly drunk at a wedding the night before was ok I will never know. π€’
I have finally accepted that Iβm never going to find my stethoscope that I foolishly lent to the trauma SHO at a trauma call last month. I have ordered a new one. My third. I lost my first in exactly the same way, at a trauma call. That doctor emigrated to Germany the next week.
Today has made me realise how old i am getting, seeing becca used to be nights out etc. instead sheβs come round we have had a buffet and sorted my tax code lol π€£
