Des Punjab - I have been documenting our Panjab the way it is.
Sometimes it is sad, sometimes it is hopeful, sometimes it is simply people living through difficult or ordinary days. I am not endeavouring to refine or romanticize the adversities. I am merely capturing them with candour, standing alongside them, and cherishing them for what they truly are.
Week 2, Day 5 @OpenLearn_NITJ ✅
Today, the focus shifted to decision trees.
Wrapped up with the "Composition of a Perfect Wine" challenge—extracting Feature Importance to visualize exactly how the model makes decisions.
@VatsalKhanna55, I have something for you 👇

Week 2, Day 4 @OpenLearn_NITJ ✅
Today was deep dive into the geometry of Machine Learning with K-Nearest Neighbors.
1) Learned KNN 2) Feature Scaling is non-negotiable 3) Used Elbow Plot to find the optimal hyperparameter.
Looks like K=9 is the sweet spot for my dataset!🎯📉
Week 2 Day 3 took...well, 3 days @OpenLearn_NITJ 😅
Finally wrapped up Logistic Regression. It sounds fancy, but it's basically teaching a computer to draw an 'S' curve instead of a straight line.
Slow progress is still progress.

Week 2, Day 2 @OpenLearn_NITJ ✅
Today was all about Regularization:
1) Ridge 2) Lasso
3) ElasticNetCV: The Auto-Pilot (Finds the perfect balance)
Successfully tuned a model on the Breast Cancer dataset. 💻

Week 2, Day 1 @OpenLearn_NITJ : DONE. ✅
Ended the day building my first Linear Regression model from scratch.
Today's Stack: Scikit-Learn for the Model 📊Matplotlib for Visualization
The Reality Check:I fed the model only Area to predict Price. 📉
Accuracy (R²): 0.27(27%) LOL😂
Week 1 at @OpenLearn_NITJ ✅
From scripting to Engineering. 🚀 Just built my first OOP Data Preprocessor for the Week 1 Milestone. It auto-cleans, engineers features, and visualizes housing data in seconds. 🧹📊
Thanks a lot to @VatsalKhanna55 and Co.

Day 6 Status: Visualized ✅ @OpenLearn_NITJ
Turned raw numbers into insights today with Correlation Heatmaps and Scatter Plots. Honestly?
Day 6 was a much-needed easy day after the grind of the last two and I needed that win.
In Picture- Today's challenge

Day 5 Status: Pandas Unlocked @OpenLearn_NITJ . 🐼
Loaded the Titanic dataset, cleaned the missing data, and ran survival statistics by gender. The biggest lesson? Never Quit
I might be running late, but have not quit yet.
On to Day 6. 👊
#Python#Pandas#OpenLearn
Day 4 Status @OpenLearn_NITJ : NumPy 1 My Brain 0
Today was the hardest day yet. Had to unlearn loops and start thinking in Matrices.
1) Speed Benchmarking ⏱️
2) Z-score Normalization 📊
3) Linear Algebra 🧮
It was a grind to get the syntax right, but I got there. #Python
Day 3 with @OpenLearn_NITJ !
Went deep into Python functions today. Built a flexible Standard Deviation calculator, got comfortable with functional programming (map & lambda) and solved the classic Leap Year logic.
The "aha" moments are starting to happen
ML project concept for @OpenLearn_NITJ team! 💡
The Problem: Students often prioritize the wrong subjects.
The Solution: An ML model that predicts exactly which courses require the most focus based on:
1️⃣Curriculum Depth 2️⃣Real-world Application 3️⃣Historical Failure Rates
@PunjabKingsIPL@liaml4893 When the ball was in the air, I thought it is normal six (commentry was on mute). But, when it was deposited on the upper part of stadium I was left shocked. My mouth was left open.😱😱
