When will our country have good planners? How can we afford to keep doctors in training unemployed when the NHS needs so many? This is a disaster that requires urgent efforts to solve it. What a waste of talent and resources our country cannot afford.
@itvpeston@wesstreeting Compromised duty of candour will continue to plague NHS resulting in health scandals as long as whistle blowers have no ‘safe’ route to air their views without risking their future. We need a new type of ombudsman specifically dealing with whistle blowers with authority to act.

@TheDrMagazine@BMACymru @BMA_WJDC How can it be right or fair that a cleaner is now charging £19 per hour while a junior doctor earns just £14.50!! This is a crisis that requires decisive government leadership. Please let the public know why you expect doctors to be paid so much less, on what basis?
8. Doctors are not being greedy to ask for a fair wage, paying some of our brightest people that have responsibilities of life and death, £14 /hr isn't right. The NHS can no longer go on like this.
Penultimately it will be for the general public to decide what they want for them and their families , and who they want delivering their healthcare.
@mmamas1973 I agree with everything you wrote. We need you and others to fill the airwaves and talk about it publicly. It is shameful what the government is doing trying to agitate the public against doctors. All these facts need to come out and reiterated.
@GMB we can’t rely on companies picked by developers to give them the green light for implementation of the planning permission. This is not independent, most these companies are customers of these developers It has to be followed by council who granted the planning permission
@DrMichaelMosley There has been a deliberate attempt to erode consultant’s authority for years. Managers whatever their skills and knowledge now wheels more authority and can threaten their livelihood. Any wonders a lot of them are demoralised and seeking early retirement ? This has to change
@DrMichaelMosley Whistle blowers should be able to contact the governance ombudsman in confidence with the authority to intervene if judged serious. Management close ranks to protect themselves & bully whistle blowers. The status quo is not working. Please don’t say lessons will be learned
@DrMichaelMosley When several paediatricians raised concerns over months and it was related to serious harms to babies, only an outside authority can take issues further when they were blocked by managers. A new specialised NHS independent ombudsman is required for whistle blowers.

@BBCBreakfast I have always argued that the NHS should have an independent ombudsman for NHS whistle blower complaints and nothing else. He should have the power to investigate and assess risks. Trusts should not investigate their own problems once it reaches whistle blowing seriousness.
