Thanks to all my coaches and teammates from my youth to now that I have helped me become the person I am today. And a special shout out to my family especially my parents who supported me all the way since my first year. Love you dad, for showing me football
@AfricanHub_ Africa has so much potential. I hope the people can make it great by stamping out corruption and waste. That will allow Africa to flourish, the Africans to have opportunities and will put an end to mass migration out of Africa into Europe and other parts of the world. 🌍
Burkina Faso has reportedly pulled in about $18 billion from gold since Captain Ibrahim Traoré took power in 2022.
Gold dominates the country’s mineral exports and is central to the economy.
Output was about 60.8 tonnes in 2024, then jumped to around 94 tonnes in 2025, according to Burkina Faso’s mining authorities and the World Bank.
Traoré’s government has also rewritten the rules to give the state a bigger hand in mining.
The 2024 code lifted the government’s automatic stake in mining companies from 10% to 15% and raised some royalties.
In 2025 alone, the sector reportedly brought the state more than 900 billion CFA francs, roughly $1.55 billion, with gold production at about 94 tonnes.

On this day 26 years ago, the world watched, as Jamal al-Durrah tried to protect his 12-year-old son Muhammad from Israeli bullets that rained down on them in Gaza for 40 minutes. Despite pleads, Israeli soldiers intentionally shot Muhammad in the stomach- whose final moments of fear and horror were caught on camera and streamed by France TV, and injured his father.
Muhammad became the defining and haunting image of the Second Intifada.
