Does Israel have a right to exist?
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: "Nobody ever asks whether Palestine has a right to exist. Israel exists. A better question is: Does Israel have a right to our tax dollars?"
This hospital was Jacob Zuma’s Concept the Budget was passed in 2016, the construction was to commenced in 2017 😭😭😭
Cyril Ramaphosa has not built any Hospital in this Country.
This is a huge story: Samsung and SK Hynix, both massive South Korean tech conglomerates, are studying replacing U.S. chip-making machinery with Chinese equivalents in their China factories, because they're worried the U.S. might tighten export controls in a way that'd render their U.S. machinery unusable.
Very concretely, it means that if those companies were pressured by the US to abandon their Chinese facilities, they'd rather switch to fully Chinese indigenous mode than comply.
Which makes sense: for both these companies, China is both their factory floor and their customer. About 40% of Samsung's NAND and 30–45% of SK Hynix's memory output comes from Chinese fabs. If the US forces that kind of choice, it won't get the answer it wants.
It also highlights how little trust there now is in the US: the media always mention the so-called "China threat" but, if you follow the money, top firms from supposed "US allies" are clearly more worried about the "US threat" than they are about Beijing.
@MW4Liberty That is also when we went to a pure fiat currency system.
The gold standard protected the working class from the investment class. Without a money standard, the vultures took over.
She isn't wrong. Cartoons have no business having LGBTQIA characters, as it is cartoons are what shapes children's mind and they mimick what they see cartoons doing.
😂😂 how dumb is this
Taiwan is rich literally because it is small relative to the world it trades with. It specialises narrowly, sells into global demand it doesn’t control, and imports almost every bit of its energy. Scale that model 60x and both halves break: there isn’t enough traded energy on earth, and the prices of what you sell collapse. China already demonstrates this every time it enters a sector (solar, steel, EVs, batteries etc efc..) and margins just evaporate on entry.
Not only that but in terms of the stats, the denominator in this calculation is wrong and isn’t fixed (A China that had actually reached Taiwan-level income would not have 1.4 billion people..)
Nominal USD per-capita also is stupid to use as it’s an exchange-rate which changes massively and shouldn’t be treated as a physical constant you can just put onto another population
China's Starlink: China launched the 23rd batch of Guowang/Xingwang LEO internet satellites from Hainan aboard an upgraded Long March 8A—9 satellites, bringing the constellation to 186 in orbit.
Guowang is China's state-owned megaconstellation (~13,000 satellites planned) positioned as a sovereign Starlink rival.
