Please be advised that today, August 17, 2025, the 34th Edmonton Marathon will be taking place.

As such, motorists should expect extensive traffic delays and rolling closures throughout central Edmonton between the approximate hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The race will start and finish at the Edmonton Convention Centre, with the marathon course spanning from Laurier Heights to Rundle Heights. A detailed map of the route is pictured below.
