This is Cotton, who was brought in to us by some locals who feed and look out for her…
They noticed her face had become really swollen and knew she needed some help. We’re not 100% sure what’s caused it yet, but it could potentially be a bug or snake bite 🐍
She’s in a lot of discomfort and she’s understandably very nervous about the whole situation, especially with lots of new people around her.
For now she’s safe, settled in and our team are working on getting that swelling down and figuring out exactly what’s going on.
We’ll keep you updated on Cotton 🤍
Our newest little arrival.
Probably a snake 🐍 , scorpion or similar.
The street dogs have so many things to battle against. She’s going to be just fine though we got her in time
Bella has officially lost a whole stone! 🥹👏
8 weeks ago, our girl started her journey at 42.2kg and she’s been putting in the work ever since. A healthier diet, plenty of exercise and a whole lot of determination have brought her down to an incredible 35.8kg today - that’s 6.4kg gone!🎉
Even Thailand’s rainy weather couldn’t stop her this week. While the other dogs were quite happy sleeping through it, Bella had her boots and raincoat on and was out getting those steps in 🌧️💪
We’re so proud of you, Bella. Keep going!! ❤️🐾
Week after week she just keeps putting the work in to lose the weight.
Her thyroid meds are also helping but despite bad weather this week Bella was still out there getting her steps in!
It's the weekly weigh in...
Little Airbus is one of our quietest and most well behaved dogs.
It didn't look good for her to even stay alive when she first came in. Look at her today getting her big news
I think a lot of people would have started following me when we rescued Rodney in Thailand.
How he lived through those first days I’ll never know.
To see him and run a couple of laps with him in London this weekend was magical ❤️
While the run was challenging today the actual work goes on full speed on the hospital for street dogs.
The roof is being built off site and will be added soon. You can see the size of it!
48 people on site today working hard 🐕🙏
Who else relates to Bella on a spiritual level? 😂
She spends her entire day relaxing in the air-conditioned office. She will happily walk out when it is time for dinner, but walking back? Not a chance.
She completely refused to walk, so we had to chauffeur her back to bed on a trolley. She is living her best, most spoilt life, and we are clearly just her staff at this point! 👑🐾
Little Hope was one of the very first dogs we ever rescued. We found her with a nail gun shot into her and some very severe injuries from clear animal abuse.
She got over her physical injuries quite quickly but it was her mental scars that took several months to build back up and, luckily, once I did that, she found the most wonderful home in England with her gorgeous mom, Steff.
Some dogs do remember you but not all do. As soon as I saw Hope during my crazy 120 km run, I think she recognized me and started playing around, although I didn't have a huge amount of time to spend with her.
With about 110 km done, my body gave up and I collapsed and the medic refused to let me go any further. What I couldn't believe was that even though there were lots of people around, Hope burst through and ran over and comforted me. Now I could be being romantic about the situation and overthinking it but I also think that she knew that I was in trouble, just like she had been in trouble one day when our paths last met.
You really do have to love dogs. There's nothing quite like them .
Some bits from the run…
🏃♂️ Covered about 113km on the track which is 70 miles. Didn’t make the 120km target because of injury.
🤒 I started the run with flu on the morning. That really didn’t help at all. So bad I was doubtful I could start when I woke up.
🦵 My ankles and one knee are like balloons today. Twice the size. Agony.
🏥 They cut the stream when I collapsed a couple of times as thought it was serious. It was obviously painful but just leg injuries. I talked the medic into letting me do more laps and argued with him for an hour but eventually had to admit he was right to stop.
🤢 After the run in bed I was in the horrors. Cold sweats all night. Like a pool of sweat the sheets were dripping wet. Hallucination type dreams.
😴 Have been in bed most of today. Eating and drinking lots. Feeling better by the hour.
Haven’t even been able to process the support and messages yet. That’s for tomorrow. For now sleep. 🙏
