Michael Houser has announced his retirement from professional hockey at the age of 33 and will become the Director of Goaltender Development for the Youngstown Phantoms.
Houser played six NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, 130 games in the AHL and 255 games in the ECHL.
Chicago Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson says that the team would love to sign Jonathan Toews to a one-day contract in order for him to retire a Blackhawk.
@LGRWkyle@OdellBretthamJr Maybe… but ECHL, would 100% be not.
as others have said, they’ve got goalies in the AHL already, he doesn’t need to be there. So go dominate the NCAA with a good team, amazing facilities and support.
@sdpnsports@AdamWylde is there a world where you see the Canucks and Flames beating out the Avalanche for a Wildcard spot. And hypothetically, what would that do to the franchise after the Rantonen trade and what would they do going forward.
@realnichenation@Blutman27 In Canada it’s marketed starting in like October. Almost over the top up here. Agreed the U.S. could market it better especially since they’ve been favourites for the last couple years, including this year. Also should be more accessible in the states on TV.
