๐ฆToday we have fitted some bird spikes to prevent pigeons roosting above dining room doors at a Lancaster school.๐ฆ The guano was being walked into the dining room which isn't ideal!๐
All sorted now though๐ช
Access was made so much easier via a MEWP and worth every penny๐
It's that time of year again! The wasps nests are growing quickly now. The structure of the nest can be seen here and larval cells. Time to get busy! #wasp#pestcontrol
This old airbrick took some finding, we had to cut away lots of vegetation to get to it but we knew rats were entering the building nearby. Once found, easily proofed with stainless mesh. Problem solved! #pestcontrol#rats
Here's an interesting honeybee swarm that had settled on an urn in a courtyard! Bee keeper called and they were safely removed to a new home. Happy bees! #bees#swarm
Sorry its been a while! Anyhow, we have safely relocated several bumblebee nests this week. These were in a shed being demolished. Safely moved to a new home.
Some mouse proofing today at an old Lancaster building. Mice will get in gaps of around 6mm so airbricks and damaged pointing will be an easy route in for them. #mice#pestproofing
Here's our latest #birdproofing job. It's to prevent swallows nesting next breeding season and causing mess and trip hazards in this corridor. There are plenty of more suitable places nearby for them to go when they return.
Rats will take advantage of any gaps to get into a property. Heres they have found a brick missing and a hole where a pipe used to be. The rubble has excavated by them. Easily solved with some cement and wire mesh. Job sorted! #pestcontrol#RATS
We are lucky in Lancaster that we don't have many cockroach jobs but this one makes up for it! A very large infestation of German Cockroaches (Blatella Germanica) in a Lancaster house. The speckles on walls are droppings. #roaches#pestcontrol
This pit has been dug out of a customer's garden. Rats kept appearing in the spot so we suggested digging down to explore. The broken drains have allowed rats to escape the sewers. What the pit was for is a mystery! #Rats#pestcontrol
An interesting rat job here. Holes appeared in a lawn so we had customer dig down and revealed this old uncapped pipe, allowing rats to escape the sewer. A nice easy fix once it's sealed up. #rats#sewerfaults#pestcontrol
We recently cleaned and sanitised this cellar following a rat infestation. There are some excellent examples of smear marks on some stuff we took out. #rats#pestcontrol
Even though he's an old boy now Lemmy the whippet has still got it! Last week he quickly destroyed a nest of 5 rats and today sniffed out 4 dead ones in this cellar. Good lad!
Another clearance job for the team. This time on a warehouse roof. Gull guano and nesting material blocks drainage galleys and causes flooding. We have our IPAF licence so we are trained to use access equipment.
