After a refreshing break (and brilliant ECR poster sessions!), we kick off the 2nd part of the day with Prof Peter Visscher’s talk on “Reconciling linkage and association studies of complex traits”.

Linkage signals can be predicted from GWAS results, and reduced when adjusting for polygenic scores.
These signals, and genetic variance not explained by GWAS are also expected to be polygenic.
