In 2023, $WOJAK launched as one of the first major Wojak meme projects in crypto, pioneering the integration of the iconic Wojak character into onchain culture long before the wave of imitators and copycat deployments that followed. For more than three years, we have continuously built the community, brand recognition, and ecosystem surrounding the project through sustained commercial activity and community engagement.

In 2026, the project officially migrated from the original contract infrastructure while maintaining continuity of the original community, branding, and social presence. This includes the migration of several of the original 2023 Wojak digital assets like the X account (@wojakcto) and the Telegram community

To reflect the maturity and legitimacy of the project, we formally sought protection for the Wojak name in connection with cryptocurrency-related services, including use of the associated ticker. We are also actively expanding protection into additional categories as the brand and ecosystem continue to grow in response to market demand.

As meme IP, branding, and internet-native culture continue evolving into legitimate digital ecosystems with real commercial value, the distinction between authentic first-mover communities and opportunistic copycats becomes increasingly important.

It is important to note that there have been other WOJAK-formative filings attempting to benefit from the goodwill and recognition built by the community over the years. However, U.S. trademark law is not simply “first to file.”

Trademark rights in the United States are fundamentally tied to priority of use in commerce and bona fide commercial activity associated with the mark.

Everyone's arguing about whether $WOJAK belongs on Solana or ETH like it's some kind of debate.

It's not in my opinion.

OG Wojak launched on ETH the same month as Pepe. 2023. 3+ years ago.

The OG holders from that original pair have stuck around through everything. And when the new pair launched, they didn't sit on the sidelines, they migrated over.

On Solana, the play is PvP.
NPC vs Wojak vs Unc vs whatever launches next week.

For the most part, that's the game on solana right now.
PvP and rotational trading.

On ETH, something different happened:

Two separate wojak pairs could've gone to war with each other. instead they merged. @phuktep brought over the OG community, the OG 𝕏 account, and linked up with some of the biggest pepe, mog, and brett whales in the space.

Not to compete.
To send wojak where it was always supposed to go.

That's ETH culture, pure PvE vibes.

@cspepe69 I’m afraid it’s inevitable now. Crash has all but directly mentioned Wojak on ETH, all the other big accounts are hopping on the bandwagon as well. I truly believe at this point your money is far better served on Ethjak now than it can possibly be on Soljak catching a 2x rebound.
