A huge thank-you goes out to the @AAwpta and the students, families and volunteers who helped make Friday's @awlsjh color run event a success.
Special thanks to Mr. Bolone for agreeing to kiss a cow and to Mr. Keller for allowing our students (+ staff) to cover him in slime!
Students at @awlsjh discovered the satisfaction of giving back by cleaning the graves of some of our city’s earliest founders. What started out as a class requirement became a realization that everyone matters, everyone is special, and they can make a difference.
Do you have plans Tuesday?!
NOW YOU DO!! Come watch the 7th and 8th grade volleyball team take on the Bobcats in their LAST home match of the season AND give back to the Ronald McDonald house!
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: As AWLS and six other districts prepare for Military Appreciation Night on Friday, Sept. 12, we introduce Christine Young, @awlsjh 7th grade social studies teacher and Purple Star liaison.
