I never imagined that a lighthearted video with my 15-year old brother would be taken from my Snapchat, reposted across different platforms, and turned into an excuse to bully a child.

Some of you have left cruel comments. Others have gone as far as editing his photos to make him look bigger just to get a few laughs.

Adults are editing the image of a 15 year old boy and publicly mocking him.

My brother did nothing except exist in a funny video with his sister.

If your idea of entertainment is tearing down a child, then that’s a reflection of your character, not his.

He’s kind. He’s loved. He’s growing, learning, and becoming the amazing young man I know he will be. No hateful comment or edited photo will ever change that.

I hope, before you type another insult or share another edited image, you remember that there is a real teenager on the other side of your screen reading what you write.

The only dream I have ever had of being a SAHM (Stay At Home Mother) is the one where I own a house, I have enough money to be financially stable enough not to have to work, and I have a strong family and friends support system, not the one where I am reliant on a husband who gives me money, then one day after I beat him one too many times at Monopoly he decides to cancel my credit card and drain our joint account, and now I have to write a list and ask him permission for money to buy diapers and sanitary pads.

Since the day he married me, he has never had to complain about food or cooking. His laundry is always done and ready, he has unlimited access to premium skincare and routine home spa treatment. Every time he came over, we either had to buy food, or I cook. Not once did he go into the kitchen.

You’ll stay over for 2-3 days. I’ll leave the house to get the ingredients. I’ll prepare everything, make the food and he’ll eat. I’ll do the dishes too after.

It was either that or I had to buy food that we’d eat. Not once did he offer to cook or make us a meal except that one time I’d eaten and he made noodles for himself.
