@liltaterhockey Players like big markets in other sports because that’s where the money and success is. Nothing to do with their ‘love for the game’ or anything beyond money. Not the case in the NHL. No need to complicate or overthink it

@liltaterhockey The real answer is that it’s not a single reason. Nothing ever is. It’s a combo of taxes, harsher markets, safety, proximity to other things, and a list of other factors that require players to put in more effort for less reward.

@hardyrenos It’s misleading to frame it like that. 4 years of importing East Indians has not made the economy less stagnant. There is no reason to believe that continued mass immigration will have any per capita economic benefits to incumbent Canadians.
