@Rae_209@LinkedInLunat1c The letters Alpha and Omega are at the top and bottom. Incense embedded in wax are at each end plus the center. Numbers for the year are on the interior corners. I know they are typically replaced every year at Easter so this one looks to be a Paschal Candle from 2025.
@FrMatthewLC I had the same reaction as you at first, but I saw OP clarify that they didn't see it as a problem and were just confused. They thought non-Catholics would know it is for Catholics only and were glad for the woman's interest and joy. I think nothing malicious was intended
@tartanmarvel89 I think the only 'castle' the US has is Castillo de San Marcos (St. Mark's Castle) which was built by the Spanish in Florida back when it was one of their early colonies
@Enbaluka@neon_heartbeat I don't disagree and I don't claim it is. My example only says "Illyrian" has been used as a name for people in older fictional stories too. What's ridiculous is an author's attempt to trademark the name not only of a historical people but also a name used in fiction before
If you are going to satirize or make fun of someone you should make an effort to understand what they actually said and then satirize accordingly. Otherwise you come across as ignorant and a fool
