Today marks the 67th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education. Yet we are still fighting to secure equal education for all of our children.
COVID-19 has only worsened that disparity. Building back better must include providing a high-quality education for everyone.
The final philosophical question of this series: How do you interpret the concept of time? We know God exists outside of time but how does that correlate with how we exist with time?
Hi friends! Starting today, I will be tweeting a philosophical question every day. Feel free to answer if you please. Some days I might even provide my own answer! Hope you enjoy 😋
I loved being able to participate in our last #sensemchat I hope you all have a good night and keep in mind the message that Dr. King and other social justice advocates have shared! 💚💚
A4 I think Dr.King’s letter connects to many parts of our world today but I find a strong connection to not only BlackLivesMatter & AAPI Hate but all human rights issues that persist on our earth. We must speak up when we see these issues and advocate for a just world #sensemchat
A3. In response to this question, I will refer to my personal beliefs in God. They say to trust your instincts for a reason. After the commandments that were given to Moses were destroyed, God wrote them in our hearts. "Not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart."
Effective civil disobedience is categorized by the fact that in the act of disobedience two opposing sides are "losing" which then calls for change and negotiation.
A1. I think that Dr. King uses non-violence as a weapon in and of itself. Given the number of egregious injustices that African American's experience, it takes a certain kind of power to protest peacefully and I think that "tension" that he discusses is highly effective.
