@richter234@TheHaIfSpace Come off it. Everyone knows Rooneybwas the best player at euro 2004, he didn’t win it officially because he got injured in the quarter final.
England would 100% had won that tournament if Rooney stayed fit. Just watch him tearing Thuram to shreds in the group stage!
@remrem07@adriandelmonte The standard argument is always “what did they win”, but that’s irrelevant when doing individual player comparisons. Team achievements mean nothing when comparing players.
In this list, the only Italians I’d pick are Buffon, Maldini and Pirlo over the English counterparts
@adriandelmonte It’s not though is it?
Italy had a better team but England has the better individuals. He didn’t get many wrong there.
And you can’t make individual player decisions off of a team achievement (which is a 7 game KO tournament too btw).
@richter234@TheHaIfSpace Rooney was absolutely unplayable at euro 2004. So he definitely did have a good campaign for England. I’d give Baggio the nod in International Football, but Rooney had by far the better club career. You can’t really split them tbh, but if you asked me to pick one, I’d pick Rooney
@mancityhardcore Keep reaching.
All you lot have done since the guilty verdict is deflect instead of showing any remorse or any integrity at all.
Pathetic club.
You’re gonna get everything you deserve
@WestHamPlace Hmm, I recall seeing United put the ball in the net 5 times against City at OT in Carrick’s 1st game last season? Yes, only 2 counted, but we absolutely demolished them to a level nobody has done since. Made them look like the under 15’s
@CuleCitizen@Lea_EFC These rules were put into place to stop things like Leeds happening again. Not to preserve the places at the top table for the biggest clubs
