Area 35 Update: Aggravated Assaults are a problem on San Pedro Street. Please Step Away from all arguments especially as things heat up. And a big thank you to the many Skid Row organizations for allowing me to host Ladies Night
Congratulations to Pastor Gary Carr of Lifeway Church in Skid Row for graduating from the LAPD Central Citizen’s Academy. We love to have more of our Skid Row friends at the next one. If you are interested please me at (213)7930740
To my Skid Row peeps. So sorry for the inconvenience at 5th and San Pedro today. For your safety we had to close the streets. Thanks to the work our Department, the shooting suspect was taken safely into custody. No one was injured. Once again, thank you for your patience.
Thank you to the women of the LA Mission Ann Douglas Center for allowing us to host Ladies Night. I hope you were empowered by the presentation. Our message is simple. If you are ever a victim of SA or domestic abuse, we are not here to judge, but to serve.
So, if this can happen to me being distracted by my phone at a car wash, it can happen to you in the street. Keep your head up for crime. Situational awareness can save your life, and a uniform change.
Is at the #skidroweaster celebration at the incredible LA Mission. This is my 20th year participating . So grateful for all they do for the community. Always thankful to be a part of this event.
With a lot of pride I shine my badge. It’s seen some things. Some good, some bad, but it’s always the heart beating behind it that should shine the brightest. My message to all today is whatever you do, always strive to shine from within as best as you can. Be safe all.
I was blessed to be called to counsel this woman at the request of my friend Shirley. But this message is for all trapped in the viscous cycle of domestic abuse. Life is better on the other side of violence. You can overcome it.
@LeadDeon Is this the LAPD officer Ms Shirley Raines called officer Chocolate? If so I remember the heart to heart you had with Mercedes. I have been thinking a lot about her since Ms Shirley’s death. In fact I wondered how she was coping after she moved her operation to Vegas.
While I was on vacation, an Angel who walked this earth passed away. Shirley Raines was a walking superhero. She inspired me and was a constant reminder that there are people who genuinely care in this world. She was the real deal. Thank you for caring my friend. Well done.
