1. What's the greatest threat to vocational skills development in Nigeria?

There are many threats to vocational skills development. None impacts more than the less attention being paid to it across different levels.

4. Schools can give knowledge but the necessary skills may not be taught.

— Insufficient centres, platforms and facilities to teach these vocational skills. The places where vocational skills can be learnt are either few or don't have adequate facilities to train people and get.

5. The time to pay more attention to this is long overdue. With more people skilled-up and empowered, jobs will be created, people will have the necessary skills to hold jobs and not just any job but meaningful ones.

1. It is quite disturbing that there are not enough jobs to accommodate the unemployed youth in Nigeria.

Can we equally consider the other side to this ugly narrative that many people aren't bold enough to confront?

4. Vocational skills do not only make people job ready and employable, they also make them have an eye for entrepreneurship, and give people the needed ability and empowerment to set up businesses and employ others, thereby reducing unemployment.

Fashion designing.
Hair styling.
Arts and crafts.
Car repairs
Cooking
Welding.
Electrical works
Plumbing
Agriculture
Web designing
Graphic designing, etc.

3. To curb this there has to be creation of jobs.

Acquiring vocational skills will play a role in curbing this labour market crises. Vocational skills are basic trainings one can learn to become knowledgeable and a professional in a specific trade or field.
