This is why I held a bootcamp to teach Introverts how to Find Their Voice and channel their "OLE" superpowers to make their quiet mark in the world.
This birthed the "Global Introverts Circle" where Introverts like me could feel safe, speak up, and practice these skills.
Dear introvert
Don't envy the extrovert and then feel the need to perform like one in order to be accepted
You have your strengths, you're a deep thinker, you're a strong listener, you're also empathetic
You bring these to the table and that's valuable.
You're supposed to use every unfair advantage you have. Looks, genetics, connections, dad's money, whatever.
There's nothing noble about choosing the hardest path just to feel like an underdog.
Someone said he took an Excel beginnerโs course online and 30 minutes into the class, he realized he had been lying on every job application about being an Excel expert ๐๐
This wasn't my front end motivation, but one side effect of hosting TEDxUNILAG was being visible to my ecosystem and having a reason to interact with my peers. From watching TED talks to overcome my chronic social anxiety sponsored introversion to hosting a TED event so my people can experience the same transformation I did, and the fruits she bears has been, rewarding at base.
Yes it is nerve wrecking, and it is a good excuse to put myself in new circles.
If you don't have a social life and crave one, a hack is to host events. Start with something small and comfortable like an intimate games night and go from there. You'll be surprised how many people want to attend social events and connect with others.

There's a WhatsApp group where people actually talk about things that matter.
No "please boost my business" messages' no random good morning texts. Just real conversations. (and a bit of Dante banters.๐)
It's called TEDxUNILAG Trybe and it's ours. ๐งต
June is here. And with it comes a month of bold ideas, meaningful conversations, and stories that deserve a stage.
This month, TEDxUNILAG returns to spotlight thinkers, innovators, and changemakers who are shaping the future, one idea at a time.
Welcome to June. Welcome to TEDxUNILAG Month. โค๏ธโจ
Every great event begins long before the spotlight comes on.
From planning rooms to production shoots, every frame tells a story of preparation, passion, and purpose.
The TEDxUNILAG producers are outside. June is officially here.
