On the 22nd of August $IREN - $CIFR both where at all time high institutional ownership yet they both dropped a lot since then.
$CIFR -48%
$IREN -45%
Ownership at new highs, but price dropped...
Well... These Institutional Ownership chart hides something.
You see big increases on the chart, but net ownership increases didn't move that much, but short interest has for $IREN - $CIFR.
That's the thing you need to watch. Did the net ownership rise % wise compared with the chart or did short interest solely increase.
WHAT THE OWNERSHIP CHART HIDESโ๏ธ
$IREN - $CIFR
Institutional ownership charts lie a little actually...
When a fund lends shares to a short seller, both the lender and the new buyer report them. Same share, counted twice.
$IREN: real buying happening here. Shorts at record highs do inflate the chart a bit, but the accumulation underneath is genuine. And with the open ATM this does offset it as well actually.
$CIFR: the jump looks impressive until you check what's behind it. Net shares flat, the founding shareholder sold a third of its position, shorts almost doubled. Not the buying wave the chart suggests.
So you see big increases, but net ownership increases didn't move that much, but short interest has for $IREN - $CIFR. And that is something you need to consider as well.
$CLSK reached +100% institutional ownership earlier this year, why? Because shorts kept doubling down...
$UBER at a make-or-break level.
Sitting right at the 200 MA, holds here and it's fine, loses it and this turns ugly fast.
GEX King $65 and $57.5 sit below if that break happens.
Sideways for almost 37 weeks now, that's a long stretch of indecision, and it looks like this picks a direction soon.
$RDW bouncing hard off the 200 MA.
Up almost 7% off that test this week, could be forming a real low here. Daily's starting to look better too.
Can't be sure yet without follow-through, watching closely this week to see if it continues.
$COIN doesn't look nearly as good as $CRCL , even with crypto holding up.
Lost every EMA on the weekly, down 5 straight weeks, rejected hard trying to reclaim the 50-week. Big bounce level sits around $145.
Daily's lost its EMAs too, though they're really tight there, reclaim them and this could move explosively. Just not confident given the weekly and daily both looking weak.
$CRCL looking good as crypto holds up.
bitcoin:native staying above the 50 EMA and the 8/10-week, this sector could be ready to trend higher again.
Getting tight on the weekly, above the 8 and 21 week. VEX King $110 would be roughly a 30% move from here.
If wave 3 plays out, the bigger target sits near $198 on the 1.618, but it all depends on how crypto performs.
$GRRR showing signs of a real low forming.
Drew a trendline from the May 2025 low through the March 2026 low, lands exactly at $7, which got tested this week and bounced almost 20% off it.
Wouldn't rush in yet, but if this strength holds, reclaiming the EMAs in a week or two is possible. Could take longer too.
$CRWV losing everything.
Lost every EMA on the weekly, dropped straight through VEX $65.
Wouldn't be surprised if this tests GEX $50 next.
Daily's lost everything too, nothing to do here until real strength shows up.
$NBIS looking like a double top on the weekly.
Broke down through the 21, 8, and 50 EMA on the weekly, not looking good.
First level to watch: the zone it consolidated in for almost 28 weeks earlier this year, around $115, where VEX King sits too.
Also lost the 200 MA on the daily, retested it, and kept dropping. Not touching this one right now.
$ASTS think a test of the 200 MA is next.
4 straight weeks down now, no real strength showing in this chart.
Plenty of gaps above that'll get filled eventually, but could take time.
Want to see a low form first before looking up.
$IREN eyeing a gap fill below.
Could see a test of the 200 MA next.
Important to remember: this already made a massive move since early 2025.
A wave 5 is still likely if this continues, but probably after the gap fill, once real strength actually shows up.
$AAOI looks to be in an ABC corrective wave.
Needed to hold $76.02 and lost it, GEX $65 is next up.
Lost every EMA, no real strength shown yet. If $65 doesn't hold either, the 200 MA comes into view.

@j_mccague Got most IREN - CIFR in single digits in 2023-2024. And in other names as well.
Time is all you need in the market and right narratives.
SL's on high beta names also key when in big profits. Otherwise you see what happens ๐คก
$GLXY still bleeding, not much to point to here.
Holding the low around $15 decently, but every level's bunched up close together, and it got rejected at the 8 EMA two days ago.
Not calling this one good yet, want to see a real low form first.
$PLTR eyeing new all-time highs?
Finished a 5-wave move up, could be entering a corrective phase now.
Dropped below the 8 and 21 EMA but regaining them well, and filled the gap from the November 2025 highs.
Hold above the 8 EMA and Wall $210 comes into play next.
