Congress has successfully enacted the NDAA on a bipartisan basis for the last 65 years, and this year should be no different.
But Democrats have decided this Congress that they want to play political games with our national security.
Democrats can’t bring themselves to authorize funding for our nation’s security – whether that’s security at our border, funding for our military, or paychecks for our troops.
It doesn’t matter how bipartisan the bill is.
Great to sit down with Jay Clayton, @POTUS’ nominee to serve as his Director of National Intelligence. Jay is eminently qualified, and the Senate will work to confirm him quickly.
Enjoyed sitting down with Dan Letellier, the executive director of Sioux Falls Regional Airport, to hear about the progress on the airport’s expansion project.
With the creation of @TrumpAccounts and the expansion of Pell Grants, Republicans' Working Families @TaxCuts are beginning to make a positive impact on young Americans of all backgrounds.

Honored to be able to welcome Darline Graham to the U.S. Senate today.
I know she will carry on Lindsey’s tireless service for South Carolina, and I look forward to serving with her.
Whether responding to a natural disaster at home or fighting our enemies abroad, the men and women in America’s armed forces stand ready to answer the call.
This year’s NDAA will help ensure that America can keep pace with the challenges of a dangerous world and outpace our adversaries.
I am grateful for all the ways Lindsey gave to America and Americans. His mark on history and his impact on the conservative movement will be well documented, but I will be equally, if not more, grateful for the mark he left on my life.

Lindsey was a trusted adviser, somebody I could go to for straight advice and counsel, and we spent a lot of time together over the years.
Our country and the U.S. Senate are indebted to him for his life of public service.
Lindsey Graham spoke with great knowledge, perspective, and passion for the things that were really important to America’s national security interests, not only here at home but around the world.
This is a huge loss institutionally for the Senate and for those of us who knew him well.
It is difficult to believe that Lindsey Graham is no longer here with us – that we won’t run into him at a meeting today, or share a joke with him at this afternoon’s vote.
The halls of the Senate already feel empty without him. And I know that I am not alone in that feeling.
I applaud Governor McMaster’s decision to appoint Darline Graham Nordone to replace her brother and our friend, Lindsey Graham, in the U.S. Senate. Lindsey’s legacy will continue through Darline, and I look forward to welcoming her soon.
It’s hard to envision the United States Senate, our country, and his beloved South Carolina without Lindsey.
He had an impact on everything he did and on so many issues critical to America’s national security and the protection of the American people.
My heart is heavy this morning to learn of the passing of my friend and colleague, Senator Lindsey Graham.
Lindsey’s long and dedicated service in the Air Force and in Congress carried him to far-flung regions of the world. He was a strong advocate for the United States and a strong ally to freedom-loving countries across the globe. He believed in the might of America to achieve good in the world and dedicated his life to advancing that cause.
As South Carolina’s senior senator, Lindsey fought passionately for the Palmetto State. He was a trusted adviser and colleague to me and many others, and numerous presidents and heads of state have relied on his counsel. His influence on the federal judiciary, our national defense, and his beloved South Carolina will be felt for generations.
Kimberley and I pray for Lindsey’s friends and family, and we send our heartfelt condolences during this most difficult time.
Proud to be an American and a South Dakotan and grateful to have @POTUS join us for America’s 250th. Happy July 4th — let freedom ring!!
