Learning of Dale Brown's death makes my heart hurt badly. I immediately went to my voice mail box to hear him tell me he loves me again and again. Dale was one of a kind. He was the most generous soul I have ever known, and likely ever will. I am blessed like thousands of others, to have known him and loved him and to have learned endless lessons. He was a proud son of North Dakota with a heart as big as the prairies themselves. As we mourn and remember Dale over the next several days, like you, I will reflect a lot. Each memory will heal our hearts a little as we smile and laugh and admire this incredible friend to literally thousands. I have to stop for now. I cannot see through the tears. I love you Dale! Thank you for loving me when I didn't deserve it. God is good!
Enjoyed meeting with Northern Plains Nitrogen to discuss opportunities to strengthen domestic fertilizer production, particularly in high-demand agricultural regions like ours.
I valued the opportunity to visit with members of @IndBeefAssoc_ND today about the issues facing North Dakota ranchers, especially during these challenging economic times.
Great discussion with the Western Area Water Supply Authority to discuss the Williston water treatment plant. I appreciated the update they provided and the work they are doing to strengthen water infrastructure across western North Dakota.
Watch my interview with Joe Kernen on @SquawkCNBC regarding the upcoming midterm elections. Republicans have a good story to tell, from no tax on tips and overtime to putting more money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans.
Space Force moves to give startups a foothold in classified programs. Diversity of options is critical to readiness and long term lethality, not to mention affordability that comes from competition. https://t.co/Zg8S72n9yz via @SpaceNews_Inc
Today I joined the community of Hazen in dedicating a sculpture of the US Air Force’s SR-71 Blackbird and Hazen’s very own exceptional patriot, Major General Eldon Joersz.
For nearly 24 years the iconic SR-71 operated as a strategic reconnaissance plane flying strategic missions from 1966 to 1990. Fifty years ago, Major General Eldon Joersz made history by becoming the fastest flying man alive when he flew the SR-71 over three times the speed of sound, reaching a record breaking 2,193.176 mph. A record that still stands!
“Today was not just about marking history. It's not just about pride. It is about imagining the future. It’s also about these young people who are here, that never know what it is to have had to go to war. But now they'll be able to come here, see this monument, and understand the cost of it.”
As Americans, let us embrace this bold and adventurous spirit, pushing past existing limits to redefine what is truly possible. Retired Major General Eldon Joersz, we thank you for your exceptional service to our country! Please accept the thanks of North Dakota.
Joined Dagen McDowell on @FoxBusiness’ “Big Money in the Morning” to discuss Starshield and Ukraine. Space is critical to modern warfare, and we need to ensure the US and our allies have access to these critical space systems like Starshield. We also discussed the need to refine our own oil and the opportunity of permitting reform which would benefit all forms of linear infrastructure.

The benefit of being a Senator from North Dakota is I get to know all of the NDHA members and have an opportunity to meet with them and hear firsthand about their successes and challenges. This makes me a stronger advocate for them and their colleagues in other states will benefit as a result.
After hearing about the challenges faced by Sea Foam, I led a delegation letter calling on @USCPSC to get this right and stop applying portable fuel container regulations to fuel additives. Good to see the Commission finalized its new course of action. We need sensible regulations to protect consumers without the bureaucracy getting in the way of North Dakota businesses.
The Offerdahl Engineering Complex is the best kind of playground for @NDSU students to transform their curiosity and training into the workforce of tomorrow. Nothing beats hands on learning to foster American innovation!
It was refreshing to visit with this amazing group of @NDSU students. Their passion, curiosity, and engagement are making the future brighter for North Dakota and for the rest of the world.
Impressive to see and operate some of the groundbreaking technologies under development at @NDSU’s Tech Park, NDeavor, where they are taking innovative ideas and putting them out in the world for use. The team’s agility and precision is what our military, first responders and entrepreneurs need to be competitive and successful. It is great to see North Dakota leading the way!
Fascinating tour at @NDSU Biotech Innovation Core seeing innovation in action. Scott’s from Rolla and Kaycie is from West Fargo. They, along with the students and businesses they work with, are building on North Dakota’s world-class health and agriculture ecosystem. These homegrown solutions are what our state, nation, and the world needs.
Big things are happening in medical discovery here in North Dakota, and this innovative ecosystem has always been here, from our Norwegian ancestors to today. This has always been a place where people take an idea, put in hard work, apply intellectual rigor, and turn it into something that makes a difference. North Dakota, and especially the Fargo region, has what it takes—the talent, tools, and drive—to advance the bioscience sector and be part of the solution. I love how we don’t need to ask, “Why not in North Dakota?” because our people are already answering the question.
This drone was impressive when Ukrainian military leaders showed it to me inside a warehouse where it was undergoing testing. It’s even more impressive two weeks later in the field already saving lives.
Had a great day in the heart of North Dakota’s Prairie Potholes with local farmers and @USFWS Director Brian Nesvik. The federal government’s overreach has squashed private property rights and is a breach of contract. Thank you to Director Nesvik for coming back to North Dakota to see the problem on the ground. It’s time to kill the illegal Biden rule and make decades of wrongs right for landowners.
