@DrAndrewSchwarz A secondary reality for me is that I’m going to need a more capable and advanced IT staff than we currently employ. They seem to struggle with imagining computers, much less developing internal AI strategies, or performing data engineering tasks.
@DrAndrewSchwarz I’m still not clear on the application of AI as it involves SaaS, IoT, etc. Is see here some are doing this and others doing that but my limited IT knowledge and background makes me ignorant to what exactly this means or how to decide what is best for me
@DrAndrewSchwarz I would have assumed that to “get real intelligence” all we would have to do is to teach the computer/program everything that a human knows as well. I haven’t considered that wouldn’t work or any alternative until this article.
@DrAndrewSchwarz I own a real estate business with my wife. We struggle the hard way looking for good deals (we are limited by cash to one deal at a time mostly). I wonder if there is technology that could reduce our financial risk? Some property types are best for us. Very interesting….
@DrAndrewSchwarz It seems that manufacturing would be first industries to see a reduction. What’s left of the line approach can almost all be automated at this point. So why isn’t it? Also, I like how there’s already thoughts on how to supplement workers taxes by taxing automation and robotics.
@DrAndrewSchwarz @WSJ I love the example of AI identifying a cat but, in context, not a cat swimming, but for a dog - start over and repeat the process. Lol, hilarious. I’d vote for complex data processing name that was proposed originally. The fact that AI is just math, means I’m going to need help.
@DrAndrewSchwarz I had an encounter with machine learning in Canada prior to the start of my MBA. We attempted to use hist. safety data to train and test a system in order to predict future incident and injuries. It was fascinating but I knew nothing about it prior to working with the consultant
@DrAndrewSchwarz It’s interesting to think the article, and the privacy advocate cited, only speaks to the contracts with the cities active. What prevents the company from selling the data to anyone who wants it (like a politician, the IRS, etc.). I mean, the AI is built so why not?
@DrAndrewSchwarz Most interesting to me, being a construction guy (as opposed to manufacturing, etc.) is the potential overlap of material (as opposed to packages or pallets) picking optimization to reduce foot/travel time to increase productivity
@DrAndrewSchwarz Some cool stuff on this list. Nothing would be more helpful to me personally than if Apple hurried up with this AI to help me find the photo I’m looking for on iCloud though (please hurry)
@DrAndrewSchwarz I’m surprised at how long AI has been around. DuPonts efforts opened my eyes to how long it’s been possible to take advantage of AI for those who were innovative. As for case two, i’m wondering what efficiencies can be had in my own org and the pipeline industry as a whole.
Hey @KingJames go fuck yourself for doxing a police officer for just doing his job.
I’d bet if that was your son about to get stabbed you’d be singing a different tune you piece of shit!
You’re a huge reason the @NBA is down 80% in viewership within the last year. 🖕🏼
