“Indoctrination” as right wingers love to refer to was first brought up in “the crisis of democracy” by the trilateral commission in the 60’s talking about a return to “apathy and obedience” for the special interest groups like farmers, students, employees, and general public.

Everything outside of the corporate sector needed to be maintained. They described an “excess of democracy and needed moderation”. A return to “passivity and obedience” all in reference to the growing democratic protests of “special interest” groups that I’ve mentioned.
