Searching Ancient Egypt for the Pharaoh's lost name

The museum had a Pharaoh's tomb experience abs of course we had to lol for his name. I couldn't decide which one I liked best so here's four of my faves!

Right bracelet now done!

This one took so much time with all the braiding and planning those chains! I had to modify the original design to cover the lower half of the brace more and make it easier to get on with one hand around a bunch of scythes!

I needed to cover the brace and Misa has huge bracelets. But plain pleather looked so boring. So I learned how to weave Gothic bracelets using jute cord!

Whole thing comes apart with snaps!

I swear this 6m long dragon streamer is one of my best purchases. Also this park was really cool! An abandoned Chinese garden. The chained gates add to it. Might have to go again next fanime.

Misa's arm scythe brace and blades complete!

The movable blades are glued together at the base to keep them from moving around. There's a tight screw with a custom plastic nut connecting the blades to the base.

So this is Ancient Egypt, the world in the Pharaoh's memory.

There's an Egyptian museum in SJ, and I had to take Téa to it. How could I not? It's a museum, and I love museums! The front facade looks just like an ancient temple!

After two months of work, Yui's done! I'm pretty sure half that time was dedicated to the headpiece alone.

It has been great bringing this artwork to life and bringing my own style and flair to it.

Yui's hat puzzled me until I found the Qing Dynasty empress and princess hats.

A friend told me about a drama called Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace and construction videos for the drama and I adapted our for Yui's design and construction.

I'm finally free of making bangles! A week and a half of hand sewing was worth it.

These are made of yellow sequin fabric, giant pipe cleaners wrapped in metallic spandex, invisible snaps, and clear elastic. Weird cosplay is my favorite

A Stand perfect for a sneak attack

I saw this curtain at SakuraCon and had to try a Stand photo. I added the zipper in with Photopea.

Am I the only one who likes the Dub name Zipperman more than Sticky Fingers?

The dress portion for Yui is now finished!

Spent the weekend sewing variegated sequins in fun designs to make the shiny details on the collar and front piece. The gems are made of Polly plastic beads and painted using Mica powder.

Update on Yui's headpiece! It's shiny ✨

The coral horns are made from thermoplastic beads over a wire bone structure.

Then the sequining. Each sequin is cut to fit and layered to look like shiny scales using hot glue.
