Mitch Marner didn't want to elaborate on his comment about going through "dark times" earlier in his hockey career, but says he will if the Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup.
Its ridiculous we need 4 different subscriptions to watch our favourite team.
Then they wonder why it’s so hard to raise viewerships & fan bases. We can’t watch our teams without paying $100+ a month
National broadcast rights in Canada are growing. Per industry sources, Amazon Prime games are moving to Wednesdays next season, while Bell is back in the mix with Crave on Mondays. SN will continue Saturdays & add Thursdays, I believe. More here ⤵️ https://t.co/GjYvyfpHHO
Give it a couple days and they’ll start saying how Matthews hasn’t made his mind up & is seeking other places.
It’s sad how many times they change the story for clicks
Emily Kaplan: There's still a strong belief that nothing will change with Auston Matthews' situation ahead of next season. He loves being captain in Toronto, loves the city and wants to win there - ESPN (5/27)
Using the leafs for clicks once again..
The story always changes, first it’s he’s waiting to see what happens, then it’s he’s committed to staying and now there’s 7-8 teams he could go.
Be better than just clicks, he’s not going anywhere… he’s a #LeafsForever
Pierre LeBrun: If Auston Matthews...decides he’s not sure they are still a contender and says he’s open to a move, I would venture to guess Anaheim would be on his list of seven or eight potential desired landing spots; the Ducks would have the pieces - The Athletic (5/27)
@MYSTARQUEST Dark times in hockey for myself is what he said. Talking about his play in Toronto.
The car jacking was an unfortunate event and super glad he was safe from it.
When it came to hockey in Toronto, he had it all. It all went sour when he gave zero fks & checked out Vegas mid szn
Dark times?
11M a year, NMC, Core, then offered the biggest deal in Maple Leafs History.
Marner couldn’t handle prime goalies in Vasilevskiy and Barbrosky. They also got given the playoffs with this bad format. Vegas got in with 39 wins while others with 43 were eliminated.
Let me set this straight, I really don’t mind that he’s gone or having success. He got what he wanted and we got 1st pick. The whole idea of him having dark times in Toronto when he was given everything he could have ever asked for and more.
@Patti7424484920@SaltySJWt3ars I’m happy, I truly don’t care, we got McKenna. I replied because he’s acting like he had it bad in Toronto, when he had it best. He said it himself being treated like a “god”
@SaltySJWt3ars How was he doing all he could when he was being held scoreless and making horrible decisions on the ice. There were some crucial games lost because of him. Vegas & western conference are easier than the east
@Capt_Kirks I’m saying Matthews isn’t being traded, every other option can be explored. We’re not in a place like the Canucks to trade a franchise player
