@smbrnsn I’ve done some recent research into this - vast majority of top 20 or so law schools do not give any academic credit for journals. But a majority of the rest of law schools do give at least some credit (although sometimes limited e.g., only 3Ls, only senior board members, etc)
@smbrnsn I’d also add, “I tried x, y, and z but I still don’t know. Do you have any advice?” is acceptable. Show you made an effort, explain what you tried, but if you still don’t know, don’t sit there spinning your wheels or asking other juniors who also don’t know.
@KatAMacfarlane Ugh. My health system here has been good (still require masks at all times for everyone), but went to urgent care the other day and a lady came in who said she tested positive for covid and had a fever and cough, and they let her just wait in the waiting room? 😡
@smbrnsn @cta Ugh - I was late to my 2nd day at my new firm because none of the 4 bus routes that would take me there showed up for over 20 minutes, despite each route supposedly running about every 7-8 minutes. It’s ridiculous.
@rockedfaces UGH so sorry. I had it for the first time in May. Just took the bar exam where there were 800 of us in one room and maybe 10 people in masks. Just waiting to see how many of us get sick. :-/
@Swansons#HeySwansons - just found these spots on the underside of an aloe leaf. Does this look like scale? Or something else? I have another plant that had scale recently, hoping that didn’t spread. 😕
“I’m sorry, but your fingers are too smooth to be a lawyer” has got to be one of the most ridiculous reasons in existence to not allow someone to sit for the bar. Absolutely no reason to not let him sit and just require those to be redone before admission!

You know what’s a great, and perhaps underused, word for a foolish person? Nincompoop. And what does such a person engage in? Nincompoopery. It’s a beautiful language.
