The overall high belief in redeemability & Black redeemability suggest policies that aim to facilitate rehabilitation, successful reentry, & redemption, would be in line with widespread public beliefs about justice-involved people.

@jnixy I feel like it's also worth noting that the swing in sentiment is not equal in magnitude for both parties. Republicans look more reactionary. Parallel change between the Biden and Trump elections also tells me people *are* reacting to some shifts they feel during those times.
Shout out to all of the UC PhD students (including 2 not pictured!) who worked with my data to conduct studies on CJ public opinion. You were fantastic and I couldn't be more proud. Thank you to all who attended the Crime and Justice Public Opinion Lab panels! @ASCRM41@ASC_DPOP

I feel incredibly grateful to have been invited to participate in this workshop. I learned so much from the scholars and practitioners who are doing important work in this area. Thank you @NCITE_COE!
Today, NCITE welcomed a group of academics and practitioners to Omaha to help solve a complicated problem: How best to manage formerly incarcerated extremists after their release from prison.
This week, millions across the US are under a sweltering heat dome.
Heat waves are especially deadly for incarcerated people, as prisons are not equipped to handle these environmental emergencies – which will only get worse because of climate change.

To end mass incarceration, we'll need to undo the policies that make formerly incarcerated second-class citizens.
