@jewishhistoryst Prob something's missing here, a lot of Sephardi don't use kitniot either (for example the morrocans) or have some type of restrictions concerning them (for example, yes kitniot but no rice like the Algerians)
@haiku757@HeimishHumor Yes, there are blank seats (or some seats are 'taken' but the person goes to another shul, so really anyone can use it). Yes, 'renting' or 'buying' a seat is normal practice, it works like a membership, but anyone is welcome (there always be a seat!)
@Julealice22@LizzieMarbach@RealCandaceO A short reading in Latin in a liturgical setting isn't the same as a personal reading. Moreover, the Trad Mass only read some limited portions. Like I said, a lot of Trad Catholics don't read/know the Bible
@LizzieMarbach@RealCandaceO Catholics, especially the type she belongs to (Traditionalists), don't read the Bible, it's so bad that they don't even know the gospel itself
@RachelTheGentle Yes! A darker look is so tempting! a bit like one of those dark and stormy winter days when we lounge by the fire with a hot chocolate 🩶 The eiderdown could also go but for sure it will be more contrasted, and maybe less charming?
