The best is yet to come. 🇰🇪🚀
I am deeply honoured to be recognised among the world's leading GovTech voices, ranked #3 globally, #2 in Kenya's GovTech & Public Sector, and #5 on LinkedIn Kenya.
I express Kenya’s sincere appreciation to all National Groups that have co-nominated Judge Phoebe Okowa to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the 2027-2036 term- the highest number of co-nominations garnered by an African ICJ candidate so far. We remain grateful to all Member States and the entire international community for your cross- regional support and confidence placed in the candidature of Judge Okowa throughout this process as we look ahead to the November, 2026 ICJ elections. @ForeignOfficeKE
Another clear demonstration that President Ruto’s engagements with critical players abroad are not
random but well considered, intentional and designed at advancing the national interest.
For decades Kenyans have been so entertained by mediocrity that we mistake ambition for arrogance. When a leader dares to say we can be first world, we laugh. We actually laugh at ourselves. Imagine that! And, it says nothing about the leader. It says everything about how little we believe we deserve. It takes greatness to recognise greatness. Open your eyes Kenya. When Lee Kuan Yew told Singaporeans he would turn their small, poor, resource lacking island into a global financial capital, they thought he was delusional. When Park Chung-hee pushed South Korea through painful industrial reform in the 1960s, his own people PROTESTED in the streets. Both nations came out the other side as economic miracles. The pain was the price. Kenya is paying its price right now. This is how great nations are built. Not through comfort. Through the unbearable tension of becoming something you have never been before. Kenya is in that moment right now and most of us are too comfortable with small thinking to see it.
Congratulations @AmbMonicaJuma on your appointment by António Guterres as Executive Director of the @UNODC and Director-General of the UN Office at Vienna. A strong vote of confidence in women’s leadership in global governance. I wish you every success in this important role!
Happy New Year!
1st day back at work.
The task ahead is clear. accelerate delivery of H.E President’s Priorities and translate national commitments into visible impact for citizens.
2026 is a year of execution.
So help us God. Amen
I am calling on the public to take a stand against corruption, firmly, clearly, and within the full confines of the law. Let us make it so shameful and unfashionable for anyone not only to think about corruption but also to proceed and engage in it.
If you see corruption:
Interrupt it — question it, challenge it, refuse to participate;
Disrupt it — report it through the established legal channels and oversight mechanisms; and
Stop it — by standing firm, refusing to be compromised, and collaborating with oversight bodies.
Today, I commenced my working visit to London, United Kingdom, with bilateral discussions with Sir Chris Wormald, Cabinet Secretary and Head of the UK Civil Service, at his office in the Cabinet Office, Whitehall. I extend my sincere gratitude to Sir Chris Wormald for his warm reception and constructive dialogue, which laid the foundation for further collaboration.
The engagement involved a mutual appraisal of the status of ongoing project partnerships between Kenya and the United Kingdom, focusing on governance reforms among other key areas. These activities reaffirm our commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing Kenya’s Public Service Reform Roadmap and national priorities.
Over the coming days, my delegation will engage with a broad range of UK institutions, including the Public Sector Fraud Authority, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, Home Office, Ministry of Defence, His Majesty’s Treasury, and other key bodies. These engagements aim to advance governance reforms and consolidate the Kenya-UK strategic partnership across multiple sectors.
I’m a firm believer in giving back through education for vulnerable and deserving youth.
Yesterday, I joined the launch of @ChalanFoundation, which identifies bright students from poor backgrounds and offers them hope, education, and a secure future
Proud to be part of this cause

Did you know? The Mau Forest Complex feeds 12 major rivers that sustain millions across Kenya and Tanzania from Lake Victoria to the Maasai Mara?
Protecting Mau means protecting water, food, wildlife, and livelihoods.
We are honoured to have His Excellency President @WilliamsRuto adopt 100 Hectares of the degraded Gacharage Forest Block in Kuresoi North, Nakuru County under @MauForest_iclip.

Kenya 🇰🇪 and Senegal 🇸🇳 have signed a visa waiver agreement, allowing citizens of both nations to travel visa-free for up to 90 days. The deal was sealed during President Bassirou Diomaye state visit to Kenya, hosted by President William Ruto. A big step toward African trade!

H. E. President @WilliamsRuto has shown that true leadership is defined by grace and compassion. The befitting send-off accorded to Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga will be remembered as a moment of unity and statesmanship. History will be kind to you, Mr. President. You are a Shujaa!
