Marketing strategy isn't as complicated as the boffins would make you believe. ๐ต
It's basically 3 things: Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning. โท๏ธ
In English?
1. Get to know your customer ๐ญ
2. Find out where they hang ๐ค
3. Say something they care about ๐

@Andre_Spiteri A2. For business, I only ever use the networks that bring in sales leads. I've tinkered with Insta but it's never actually led to work for me, so I ditched it ๐ฅณ For now, because I'm B2B, it's simply LinkedIn and (barely) Twitter #ContentClubUK
@Andre_Spiteri A1. Nope! No social media strategy. But lately my thing has been to be super niche with social, using LinkedIn only for messaging within a tiny niche, and using Twitter only for, well, this... Keeps my hand in, without being too much for me to manage :) #ContentClubUK
@Andre_Spiteri I remember years ago I did a speech, got 52 leads and entered them into a 6 email funnel. The funnel fucked up, sent all 6 emails at once to all 52 people who'd signed up to my newsletter. Hahahaaaa FML
Hard relate, [insert Andre's name] x
@LoveRosiee1@christina_p I actually stole this idea from a friend who used ChatGBT to plan a 2 week-long family holiday in Scotland! The ideas it generated were bang on!
@christina_p A2. I'm not fussy, I sometimes like to set my own brief and work with clients who need support creating a strategy. But sometimes the dream client comes along, and they already have a vision, a strategy and set goals. It happened recently and it's been amazing. #contentclubuk
@christina_p A1. Dare I say it, I don't! I rely now on networking, word of mouth and only use LinkedIn mail for connecting and conversations. #contentclubuk
@ThatWriterJon Same here. I thought that only famous rich geniuses could become writers. I wish I'd known then that the only barrier to entry is in my own head.
@ThatWriterJon Definitely, it's worth it for the headspace you get back. This was a rare non-fiction business book that actually did what it said on the tin. Cover. ๐ฅณ๐
@Andy_Helios @ThatWriterJon It's ruddy genius, Andy. You'll love it.
Basically everything that can be scheduled goes in your calendar as a meeting, anything that can be done in 2 mins or less gets done 'now' and everything else goes on a magic list.
When I was swamped it saved me, so many times x
@ThatWriterJon A2. Don't wait 10 years to become a writer. Leave teaching, you will find work waaaay easier than you think you will. Just do it. #ContentClubuk
