What a bloody legend and hero!
Ricky Jefferies is a Aussie father of three who runs a small barbershop near the electorate office of Dr. Helen Haines MP, in northeastern Victoria.
After he witnessed the car ramming against Dr. Haines, he immediately ran to stop the driver. When he got there, he noticed he had a knife, so Jefferies wrenched it out from him and then wrestled the driver, pinning him down there with the weight of his body until police arrived.
Despite the ordeal, he was already back cutting hair at 7am this morning, saying “I don’t consider myself a hero,” outside his barbershop, adding “I consider myself a member of the community; I just had a role to play, and mine just happened to be the first story heard.”
During Bondi, we saw some of the most extraordinary courage from every-day Australians. We saw it again yesterday. That is the best of Australia!
Healing Testimony
Hi Dave.
A great Supernatural Saturday! I always learn a lot from your wisdom.
During the broadcast you mentioned that praying long distance was effective, even at a million miles. I have this amazing testimony that still brings me to tears thinking about the mercy of God.
I am part of a Facebook group for my high school graduating class. Several years ago, my classmate Kenny posted about his son Neil having an accident at work where he fell, hit his head, and had a traumatic brain injury Kenny said that although he (Kenny) was an atheist, he knew some people in the group were believers and he asked us to pray for Neil. I did pray for Neil at the time. commanding his brain to function etc. Kenny never posted again about his son and how he was doing.
In early October, Kenny posted in the Facebook group stating that his son was brain dead. He had met with "organ donation" early that morning and they were going to "pull the plug" at 4pm. Kenny said "if you want to see Neil before he passes, you need to come now". When I read that post, I started sobbing. I was sobbing because Neil did not know Christ and what He had done for us. I doubt Neil had really heard the gospel. I was also disappointed in myself because I had not prayed more for Neil's healing. The previous day, I had just heard Andrew Wommack on a panel talking about healing and Andrew mentioned that he didn't have much success in seeing people healed that were in a coma,. And that was because they could not respond in faith.
I thought about Andrew's comments. I thought about Jesus talking to Lazarus. I thought about quantum physics that says we are all connected I then spoke directly to Neil, even though he was 40 miles away and brain dead. I believed he could hear me. I spent about 10 minutes preaching the gospel to him, telling him about Jesus's virgin birth, being God but living as a man filled with the spirit, how he gave his life for us. I also told Neil that Jesus took our sickness and wants us to live a great life here. Finally, I told Neil that he had to make a choice to either live or die. If he wanted to live, he needed to make a movement like moving his fingers, or blinking his eyes.
After talking to Neil, I spoke to his brain and commanded the brain to function and everything damaged to be healed. Then I closed my eyes and visualized Jesus walking into his hospital room, laying his hands on Neil's chest and brain and bending down and whispering into his ear.
But that's not the end of the story! About 45 minutes later, Kenny posted in the Facebook group. "I don't know what's happening!!" "I just got a call from the doctor. Neil just moved his eyes. They don't know what's happening either. They can't believe it." "I'm heading to the hospital".
That was Friday, around noon. Neil was up sitting in a chair on Saturday. Walking the halls on Sunday. And discharged to rehab on Tuesday.
I was not confident that my commanding would lead to his resurrection. I do know that my obedience led to the mercy of God healing Neil.
Most people I have told this story to, don't believe we can speak to someone not in earshot from us. This is too coincidental that Neil moved his eyes after I told him to choose life. I believe Neil heard me speak to him.
Blessings to you and Denise! Thank you for all you do for the body of Christ.

One Nation does something exceptionally well: fuelling outrage while offering humour.
They mock identity politics while promising to solve core issues with with common sense.
Contrast this with the major parties who take themselves seriously while failing to deliver.
It's effective.
Do you want to be split into groups by the major parties while they let you down?
Or do you want to join the party on the outside and unite under a common cause?
LONDON HAS FALLEN
It’s taken me a week to write this because I needed time to reflect on what I saw.
For the last couple of years I’ve watched what has been happening across Britain, Europe and other parts of the world. I followed the arguments about mass migration, integration and national identity and heard people say their communities had changed beyond recognition.
I thought I understood it.
I didn’t. Not until I saw it firsthand.
I’ve just returned from travelling through London, other parts of England and Wales. I walked the streets, caught Ubers, visited shops and spoke with people from completely different backgrounds.
One conversation really stayed with me.
An Uber driver who migrated to Britain around 20 years ago told me he was concerned about the scale of migration and the loss of the England he had come to know.
Think about that.
Here was a migrant who had made Britain home, integrated, built a life and contributed, now concerned about whether the country he embraced was losing its identity.
That is the distinction we need to understand.
I have friends in Australia from all over the world who came here genuinely wanting to build a better life, raise families, contribute and become part of the country they now call home.
That is immigration working.
But London shocked me.
Street after street, shop after shop, I saw cultures, languages and religions from across the world. Even in tourist areas selling traditional British memorabilia, I consistently encountered people serving customers who could barely communicate in English.
Outside parts of London and through Wales, the contrast could be striking.
It left me asking:
At what point does immigration stop adding to a country’s culture and begin overwhelming its ability to integrate people into a shared national identity?
No country can grow its population faster than its ability to provide housing, hospitals, schools and infrastructure while assuming integration will simply take care of itself.
And if those common bonds are eventually lost, how do you wind that back?
More importantly, how do you address it without unfairly sweeping up the very migrants who came, integrated, contributed and embraced their new country?
That is the tragedy of getting immigration policy wrong.
This isn’t about skin colour, religion or birthplace. People shouldn’t have to erase their heritage to become Australian.
But Australia shouldn’t have to erase itself either.
A nation is more than buildings and borders. It is shared language, history, customs, institutions, values and a sense that despite where we came from, we now belong to something together.
London’s magnificent buildings haven’t fallen. Big Ben still stands. Buckingham Palace is still there.
But buildings don’t preserve a nation’s identity. People do.
I came home asking whether Australia is heading down the same road, and whether we are prepared to have this conversation before the question becomes:
How do we undo it, and is it too late?

In a recent forum, popular neuroscientist and health guru, Andrew Huberman, revealed his secret for falling asleep in those anxious mid-morning hours when he says you shouldn't believe any thought that fills your mind. He said, "I'm being completely direct with you when I say it's worked every single time."
Huberman: "What I do is I get out of bed, and I pray. And these days, you know, again, I'm just being completely direct with my practice, I just pray to God. I pray, I just ask Jesus, 'Would you please hold me and bring me some peace so I can rest, so I can be my best self tomorrow, so I can serve the world better. And I'm hurting right now, and I can't seem to do it for myself.'
He also referenced techniques for calming the body in this discussion, but he emphasized the relief he has found through prayer:
"It's a great time to pray. I'm serious, many a night, many a night, you will find me on my knees praying in the hours between 3 and 5:00 a.m. simply for peace, simply to get to morning without additional stress, simply just trying to listen for something other than my own anxious thoughts."
As a woman in her late 40s, I found it comforting to know that even big, strong health gurus know what it's like to struggle with sleep, but also to be reminded that ultimately it's the Lord who gives peace and rest to those who cast their anxious cares on Him. 💤
Supernatural Car Repair
Hi Praying Medic,
We drive old cars to save on insurance and not have monthly car payments. But that means having some budget for car maintenance. Last month we had a few expenses with replacing all tires on our 15-year-old minivan and also unexpected expensive house repairs.
This week the minivan would not start, and the dash had an error message that something was wrong with the starter. My husband had a lot of stress around yet another repair expense.
Yesterday, I prayed all morning and in the afternoon went in the car and put hands on the car, both me and my daughter declared it fixed and called for heavenly mechanical angels to repair so car would start.
Then I put in the keys and on the first try the car started up beautifully and there was no error on the dash. I turned off and tried again and it worked still.
An hour later I sent my husband and it worked for him as well he was excited and amazed that we prayed and fixed the car. He chuckled that even the dash error was gone!
Thanks for showing us how we can pray over everything!!
These experiences are really building our and our children's faith!
Best,
Krishna
Oh Anika; imagine having the gall to suggest Australians have lost trust in politicians because of trolls, bots, Russians and Chinese CCP interference. Maybe politicians should take a deeper look a little closer to home. Trust disappears when ordinary Australians are struggling with mortgages, rents, groceries and power bills while watching politicians enjoy privileges and expenses they could never ever dream of receiving themselves.
Blaming the internet for political distrust rather than examining the conduct of the political class itself is precisely the kind of tone-deaf, ivory-tower response that creates the distrust in the first place. Trust isn’t destroyed by criticism. It’s destroyed when those being criticised refuse to even listen.
The unvaccinated saved the world. Not one of us regrets not taking it. Not one of us would take it back. They called it a vaccine. They called it science. It was none of those things. It was the greatest crime committed against humanity in our lifetime.
