Listen to the story of a nurse wrongly convicted in the 90's, following an incident report she had written. (Sound familiar?)
"It is nothing about truth, nor innocence, nor justice.... the best performance on the day wins."
Amanda Jenkinson
How very true those words are.
I wonder if judges and prosecutors, when they take off their theatrical wigs and gowns, ever give another thought to the innocent people locked away once their courtroom "show" is over?
Listen to Amanda's story here and weep.

There is so much vitriol directed not just at Lucy Letby, but at anyone who doubts her guilt. Clare and Carl were incredibly brave to come forward with their story. I hope you'll listen.

As Channel 5 revisits the Jeremy Bamber case on tonight’s 5pm news and with Monday’s documentary, it’s time to remember the sheer scale of this atrocity.
Jeremy Bamber was convicted on a 10-2 majority verdict. (Before the 1967 law change that made it easier to convict innocent people, he would not have been found guilty.)
That means 17% of the jury did not believe he was guilty. That % applied to the UK adult population at the time equates to roughly 7 million people who thought he should never have been convicted. SEVEN MILLION.
The judge recommended a 25-year tariff.
That was harsh enough considering it was such a weak verdict. But in 1988 the Home Secretary secretly increased it to a whole life order without even telling Jeremy Bamber. He only learnt his fate six years later.
How outrageous is that?
His appeals have been repeatedly hindered, including when Special Branch destroyed key forensic exhibits in direct breach of a court order and, of course, nobody was ever held accountable.
This is not justice. This is a despicable, state sanctioned miscarriage of justice that has stolen 41 years of an innocent man’s life.
If the British public don’t start making their voices heard in huge numbers, the establishment will continue to get away with it.
Jeremy Bamber desperately needs the public’s support to finally secure his freedom so please watch tonight’s Channel 5 news (5–6pm) and Monday’s documentary at 9pm.
Let me know if you have any questions at all about the case. I will tell you the unfiltered truth and give you links to reliable sources of information.

The final official episode of DOUBT: The Case of Lucy Letby is out now. It's a look at why it's so difficult to overturn a potential wrongful conviction, no matter the evidence.
If you haven't listened to this series yet, please BINGE IT NOW! I'm very proud of it.
London! I'll be hosting a screening of my documentary, Mouth of the Wolf, on April 21 and 22 at the Greenwich Picturehouse along with @innocencelondon. Tickets are required, but free (links below). I'll be doing a Q&A with director @manunderbridge afterwards. Please come, and spread the word!
Absolutely made up to see this little beauty arrive in the post this morning ☺️ Forever grateful to the editors for this opportunity #SFL#wrongfulconvictions

A brilliant speech by @DavidDavisMP yesterday. If you haven't yet watched it you really should.

In the meantime, I have two questions.
1) What do we pay MP's for when, apart from a handful, they don't bother to turn up for work to listen to important debates?
2) Can you spot any similarities between the following quotes?
"It is better that some innocent men remain in jail than that the integrity of the English judicial system be impugned." Lord Denning
"We shouldn't... undermine public confidence in the... criminal justice system... There has been due process... in the convictions of Lucy Letby with a trial by jury and upheld on appeal." Sarah Jones MP

The police force that conducted the investigation into the nurse Lucy Letby made “egregious” failures and did not follow official guidance or best professional practice, David Davis has said in parliament.

The #LucyLetby miscarriage of justice has gone on long enough.
It's time the government stepped in, condemned it and ordered her immediate exoneration and release.
Nobody is fooled by the "We cannot interfere - courts are independent" nonsense.
The government are quick to interfere in foreign injustice.
One rule for criticising China's regime protection.

Another for shielding the NHS.

There were NO murders. There were NO attempted murders. Just natural causes or BAD MEDICAL CARE.
"I would say that if this was a hospital in Canada, it would be shut down" Professor Shoo Lee
This travesty will never be forgotten and never be forgiven.
Allowing it to continue for even one more day is utterly shameful.

The trial of #LucyLetby for the murders and attempted murders of infants in the neonatal ward of the Countess of Chester Hospital was one of the longest murder trials in British history. It's worth asking why.

@amandaknox I'm so happy to see you're looking into this case - I've been convinced since hearing it on the news back home that this will turn out to be a wrongful conviction. Hope you're doing well @amandaknox!! xx
@Janroweljmu@vicgoddard I grew up down south and he was my high school P.E. teacher (not to mention one of the best teachers at my school!) and one of the reasons I wanted to get into teaching myself🤗
@vicgoddard@Janroweljmu I'd love to come visit!! I'm still based in Granada, Spain, so if you 3 are ever in need of some sun, there's always a place for you to stay here! 😉 I love that Toby is so into basketball... Clearly a very wise lad like his dad 😉😊
@vicgoddard@Janroweljmu Everybody is well 😉 Love that you and Jan are friends on here, such a small world!! 😊 I hope you, Lucy and Toby are all ok too 😉🤗 Big big hug, sir! xx
