Hey @msft_events! The upcoming #AITour in Paris hosted by @nvidia and yourselves... Is it English or French speaking? Mon français n’est pas bon pour cet événement. J’apprends (lentement)... merci, @duolingo.
Once I stood in a community centre with transparencies and handouts, now I look after the technology that enables 200,000 retail colleagues to do their best. The scale has changed, but my passion to learn, ability to adjust and curiosity to ask questions has not #ELNelection2020
Having worked with @TechNerdCat over the last two years, I can safely say she has my vote for #eLNelection2020 for a director position for @elearningnetwk - an amazing candidate who has fresh yet realistic ideas across the spectrum of #EdTech and #LearnTech.
Delighted to be joining @Kallidus as Commercial Product Manager at the end of November! I can’t wait to join the team and help the organisation further develop its award-winning solutions.

@MrMiNiKi @mattwatson01 @TechNerdCat So many stories and anecdotes. But I'd summarise as "Don't let learning block the objectives of the organisation", "Don't let learning become a friction point", and "Don't let your learning solutions compete with organic learning - you'll lose."
I thought I’d explain what happened today because I’m absolutely exhausted and tbh I think a light needs to be shone on this. Especially given so many people like me seem to experience the same thing.
@mentormullarkey It gets better... in the article it calls out it's actually a bidding war between #Deadpool and Mac from It's #alwayssunny In Philadelphia.
Today is #OnlineLearningDay - I first experienced digital learning (it was pre-online) at 14 doing an NVQ at @StBedesScience that was created by @Thomas_Telford and sold on a CD-ROM (pre-DVD) to complete at school/home. Now I work in digital learning.

Not ‘new’ pedagogical concepts, but the appropriate existing pedagogical concepts. Remote digital learning is not new. It’s the bedrock of the largest university in the U.K. and has been for some time.
So no Tesco, because halal chicken. No Sainsbury’s, because no racism.
No Lidl and Aldi, because brexit.
Where are the racist going to shop now? 🤣 #BoycottSainsburys
The reversal on return to UK primary schools is another example of this government's on-the-hoof policy making:
1) Set a target
2) Announce it
3) Meet opposition
4) Maintain target will be met
5) Meet complexity
6) Talk to the people who know
7) Adjust/reverse/fudge
8) Repeat
⚠️ Is @googlechrome about to kill your elearning? ⚠️
Chrome v.80 and v.83 doesn't support (or support by default) some key calls to your LMS. Thanks to @TechNerdCat for flagging, and @SAP who have shared a great KB article on the problem.

@TechNerdCat@sainsburyarch @mattwatson01 I think it's a heat exchanger for HVAC and refrigeration. The duct it's attached to is similar to old plant rooms and the lagging on the pipes at the back looks like HVAC/refrigeration piping. Delta made refrigeration components for retail cabinets back in the day.
@TechNerdCat@sainsburyarch Ummm... My money is on refrigeration plant. Way before my time, but Delta used to make refrigeration equipment and I see some telltale pipes lurking in the background.
