ร่วง : Rûang is subtly different to to ตก : Dtò‘k meaning ‘to fall, drop’
e.g. ฝนตก : Fŏ’n Dtò‘k = Rain falls.,
น้ำตก : Nám Dtò‘k = waterfall

Sometimes they can portray the same meaning.
e.g. เงินร่วง/ตกจากกระเป๋า : Ngern Rûang/Dtòk Jàak Grà-bpăo = Money falls/comes off a pocket
