8/ Before hiring, the founders ask:
- Can we solve the business need with tech/AI?
- If not, is there a SaaS fix?
- If not, can an agency help?
- If not, only then do they hire.
This saves them millions (compared to hiring full-time employees), boosting their margins & profits.
@alyakbrooke@zigzagging910 Congratulations! Mrs. Z was the winner and Kayla the runner up! #clearthelist

Paul Nation, internationally recognized professor in applied linguistics (specializing in pedagogical methodology,) has great insights about how to learn vocabulary. Here's a good Prof. Nation paper to start with:

@educator4ever36 That’s a great question. And I don’t have easy answers. At the deepest level I believe that a love of language is rocket fuel for better communication, and better communication is an antidote for the isolation and passivity of digital lives. More importantly though, I’m not just someone trying to build a tool to get kids excited about language, I’m also a mom with kids in middle school and high school.
This quote, from the article, I found so poignant, I sent it on to a few people with a link to the article:
“…as David Steiner, executive director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy and a former New York State education commissioner, points out, smartphones and social media have made leaving the house unnecessary. Worse, they feed this poisonous passivity. “You think you are enjoying the experience, but it’s cementing you into a cognitive and emotional coma,”
I’d love to talk more about this with you. I’d love to hear what you think a team like ours (building EdTech) can do to be part of the solution. Shoot me a DM and let’s talk!
Wow! Thank you so much! We hit 100 followers today! So grateful!
