It has been such a pleasure to see this journey through with a few students I’ve had the joy of watching evolve since 9th grade. So much love for our Red Devils turned Phoenix, and all who supported them in their journey to this great accomplishment! 😈🐦🔥
What a proud day to be an Olympian! 🥹 So many seniors were awarded with scholarships and certificates, celebrating their achievements and hard work from the year. Thank you families and students for showing up and celebrating in community. So much love to go around. 🎉🎊
Ms. Davis and Ms. Ryan’s scholars gave back to their own community last week, volunteering at the Food Bank of Contra Costa County. This is why we build, why we lift each other up—because strong communities start with service, connection, and these young people right here. 🖤🩵🩶
We had the honor of presenting at the Napa Valley Wellness Conference about the alternative learning pathways that are having a positive impact on alternative education students. It was an honor to showcase the amazing things happening for students at @OlyMDUSD🐦🔥
💙💜A busy day in the Oly Wellness Center! PALentine Card making (because Valentine’s day can be about friendship, too!), a few competitive rounds of speed, dream catcher making, & painting! Make sure to be here Friday for friendship bracelet activity & help spread the LOVE! 💛💚
Day 1 at the ACSA Conference in beautiful San Diego, and I’m already feeling inspired! Learning alongside incredible leaders and educators who are shaping the future of schools. The energy, innovation, and collaboration here are unmatched. 🌟
Waited all week to break out our fall fits! It’s so much fun having coworkers who also love to celebrate the seasons. 🍂 Sweater weather is better together! 🧡
On September 11, 2024, the @MtDiabloUSD board officially approved the adoption of the PHOENIX as Olympic’s first official mascot! The Phoenix represents the resilience, tenacity, and ability to rise up amid the ashes and take hold of a second chance. Together, we rise! 🐦🔥🩵
Public high schools are increasingly banning smartphones. Thanks to @OlyMDUSD and @LearninWithLyon for welcoming me to campus to feature how they've incorporated #yondrpouches on their campus for @MeritStreet.
👏🏽 The first full week of school has Olympians deep in the learning! A huge shout out to Ms. Chaves who is employing @TNTP strategies for geometry students. Students are actively engaging in the content, and we can’t wait to see how they grow. ✖️➗➕ Look at these mathematicians!

This year will fly by in the blink of an eye, and we plan to enjoy every moment of it! It was a beautiful day to welcome back Olympic scholars, and we are ready to make this the best year yet! Happy first day of school, Oly family! 🩶🩵🖤
If you thought the party was over, whew were you wrong! A big, over the top congratulations to the TWENTY-NINE summer graduates who didn’t let anything slow them down. Their unwavering determination in pursuit of their diplomas is so worthy of celebration! Congrats, Olympians!🎓
MDUSD is pleased to announce the appointment of Crystal Ochoa as the Student Board Member for 2024-25, when she will be a senior @OlyMDUSD in Concord. Crystal has held several leadership positions & has been involved in many extracurricular & community activities. Congratulations
Could not be more proud of this young person who owned her story and took control of the outcome. This work matters, and days like these remind you why. A true celebration of all of the heart, hard work, and empowerment that happens at @OlyMDUSD 🩶🩵🖤 Congrats, Crystal!!!
What do you get when you mix history & art? A history of tie dying unit! Students learned how to make natural dyes and were relieved that they wouldn’t be using insects or invertebrates like ancient civilizations did to create colored textiles. We 🖤🩵🩶 this hands on learning!
Mr. G & Ms. Prater’s Black History Month unit culminated in a field trip to West Oakland’s Women of the Black Panther Party museum where students learned about & honored culture, history, and resistance. We are proud of the inclusive curriculum that echoes through Oly classrooms!
