Let's take a moment to #reflect on the way we look at them and #rethink our way of looking, in such a way that we #communicate to them that we believe in them and value their #gifts and #talents, seeing them as what they are capable of becoming.
Perhaps sometimes we are not aware that our #gaze can say a lot more than we sometimes consider. How do our students feel when they are looked at by us? Do they feel afraid, supervised, rejected? Do they feel valued, welcomed, respected, loved?
Inspired by a publication by Nawal Mustafa, Paige Tutt shares 6 key questions that we can ask ourselves as #EdLeaders, #teachers, and #students to better reflect on and handle situations that generate stress.
#Stress is present at different times in our lives, whether it‘s during a work day, in a family situation or preparing for an exam. Stress is something that we cannot eliminate, but we can learn to manage it so that it does not negatively impact our health.
If we want our students to learn differently, as #EdLeaders we need to encourage our teachers to also learn differently; let's get out of traditional training and integrate active methodologies and new strategies and tools in the continuous training of each of our teachers.
- Having a skill does not necessarily imply recognizing the situations that demand it, nor the willingness to apply it, having a disposition does. We should not stop in the development of skills but aim to develop the disposition to use them.
let us share with others what has worked for us, and ask for advice on what is difficult for us, let us try to relate more, be open to meeting with one another and building a #community.
Let us promote spaces to share and enrich ourselves with the contributions of others, let us look for people who #inspire us and help us grow every day,
- We're used to adding activities and commitments to our plate, we need to reflect and identify all we're doing what needs to change and what needs to stop in order to better invest our energy.
- Assemble messages of support, acknowledgment, congratulations, etc.; they'll be a source of energy when you feel depleted or down.
- Identify objects and activities that constantly annoy and irritate you, and find a way to solve them to end those energy leaks.

Let's spend time connecting with each of our #students, let's talk with them, listen to them and discover what they like, what excites them, and what they dream of. Let's see the great potential behind each student and show them that we believe in them.
